Tumbledown Cottage is nestled in Newtown Linford, a picture perfect village not far from Leicester & Loughborough. Our 400 year old home has been lovingly restored for a relaxed and comfortable stay. After a busy day unwind in the private sitting room & enjoy the beautiful oak A-frame bedroom for peaceful night's sleep. Wake up a delicious help yourself breakfast.
Ideally suited for a relaxed, comfortable stop over. Just 3 miles from M1, Junction 22 in Leics (5 min)
Guests have a spacious, private wing of Tumbledown Cottage which comprises a large, yet cosy sitting room with exposed brick fireplace and breakfast table, master bedroom and modern en-suite.
From the sitting room a winding oak staircase leads up to the master bedroom. A heavily beamed (mind your head!) bedroom with a double bed and dressing table. There is a modern en-suite, but please note, this is an old cottage and there is no shower, just a big bath. The en-suite is modern but a bit quirky too; it is separated from the bedroom by a curtain not a solid wall. The cottage is comfortably furnished to a high standard with a backdrop of exposed oak beams and original features.
There is a kettle and toaster in the private lounge, so feel free to help yourself to many teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Cook toast to your liking and enjoy a selection of home made jams and marmalade, as well as fresh fruit, cereals and muesli all to hand. If you would prefer to have breakfast in the cottage kitchen alongside the AGA (rather than in your own suite) you'd be more than welcome, just ask.
We have a selection of DVD's and board games for you to enjoy or alternatively the breakfast table can double up as a calming desk space for you to crack on with your work/business needs.
Access to the west wing (private suite) is via the farmhouse cottage kitchen only. You will be given a door key but feel free to enjoy the large garden and patio area too. For longer stays we can make arrangement for washing machine.

Hello... I'm Suzi
As a family we love the outdoors, walking, camping, cycling, skiing and sailing. I love a good cup of coffee in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and hearing the clatter of hooves trotting by in the village. We try our best to keep life simple and find nothing more invigorating than working towards a stress free life.
I love having friends and family over for good food and a catch up. We love welcoming people into our home and are delighted when they say how relaxed and peaceful it is here.
