IN A FLASH
The host was nice, and the place well equipped, clean, and modern. Located close to the Old Town / city center, in a freshly built apartment building.
A BITTER PART
A bit too freshly. On weekdays, the place can only be comfortably used between 6pm and 7:30am Otherwise the noise makes it uninhabitable, with drilling, hammering, and a variety of other construction sounds coming from everywhere around—because most other apartments are still being decorated.
The listing states: "A place where you can experience serenity in the middle of the hustle and bustle.". That might become true in a few months, but right now the place is extremely noisy, unless you're planning to leave early mornings, and come back late afternoons.
THE NOISE RUINED OUR BUSINESS TRIP – its in the middle of a construction. Drills, hammers, machines, work tools and loud noises begin at 7:30am and do not stop until 6pm.
Had we known about the conditions from the listing, we would have found a different place. While the listing isn't misleading about the apartment, it conveniently forgets to mention that there are VERY FEW occupants in the building because the entire building is all under construction. Not just the building itself, but people furnishing their own apartments.
A BETTER PART
The place is very well equipped, with mostly everything you'd find at home for cooking, cleaning, or sleeping. It's clean and well arranged with good quality furniture. A wardrobe isn't very useful with its current layout (can be easily fixed) meaning you may have to keep your bags out. Fortunately, there's enough space to keep them out of your way.
The host was helpful, explaining all important information about the apartment and welcoming her guests with Polish fudges.
With an electronic lock, the place will be a good choice if you're sharing it with more people, or going on a business trip (after the noise isn't an issue any more).
