Bright new studio appartment on 7th and top floor (with elevator) of beautiful classic Hausmann period building with view on parisian tin roofs and Montmartre hill.
For singles or couples. The studio is not intended for co-renting among friends.
I stayed here for 4 weeks. This is the cutest little studio in Paris. The location is perfect-- I wouldn't choose any other location. The view from the little balcony ridiculously amazing-- and the people watching opportunities from this little room are highly above-par. You will never be bored looking out the window. The kitchenette is tiny-- but you should be eating out most of the time anyway because Paris food is delicious. The shower looks small-- but is actually quite large and the water pressure is very good. The bed is one of those couch beds-- buts it's not bad or uncomfortable. Mehdi, the host, is super accommodating with check-in and check-out times. Let him know your situation and he will figure it out. Other reviews say it's not good for long stays, but I had no problem with it. It's perfect for those that don't need much. Overall, this place is the perfect studio to have your Parisian adventure.
I stayed here for three months whilst on exchange. The location was great very central close to bars, clubs, restaurants cafes and good public transport and the Host was very welcoming. The room has a great view which I would say is its main attraction. The room is a lot smaller (to me) than it appears on pictures and the double bed isn't a proper bed and is just a sofa bed which wasn't the comfiest and slightly disappointing and misleading From the discription and also for the price you pay. It all says it's newly refurbished which I wouldn't have thought. I would therefore suggest this room for short stays only as things like using the cooker whilst using other electricity led to issues also due to being a small room with a shower and no effective/proper ventilation system also created issues such as damp odours and steam meaning you would have to shower with the window open.I would also point out two people in the room is abit of a squeeze so would be better for people travelling alone.
The neighbourhood was very exciting for me as a younger person due to the fact that République had, during my time, become the centre for a large and permanent sit-in protest 24/7. While the apartment was far away from noise, there were the occasional protests that passed down the street below, though there were a couple of occasions that meant access to the street was restricted due to police activity. Furthermore, I felt incredibly safe and comfortable in this area. The apartment was perfectly situated to everything (metro stations, restaurants, cinemas etc) you could want and provided an absolutely wonderful view of Paris. There was plenty of space for one person and with only a 40 minute walk to the Seine, I really cherished my time here and would love to stay there again. As for my hosts, they were very accommodating and friendly, even supplying a microwave and extra hangers when I asked if it was possible. They responded to communication very well via messaging or face-to-face contact (as they live on the floor below!). I couldn't speak more highly of their hospitality. However, I would have liked to have known if there was anything valuable in the apartment that required specific care, particularly when one would imagine there wouldn't be anything valuable in the residence if they had not been warned of it.
The flat is wonderfully located in the heart of the lively oberkampf and republique neighbourhood. It has a great view over the parisian roof tops. Jose welcomed me and gave me all the insider advice where to hang out. The studio is spacious, quiet and clean. The toilette on the corridor (which worried me at first) is very clean and well maintained and just opposite the studio, so no hassle there if you need to pee in the middle of the night. I would defenetly come back anytime. Thanks Jose!
