With cathedral ceilings the spacious and light open plan living area has the galley kitchen at its heart. There is a separate dining and living area with the open plan area with a wood burner to keep you warm and cosy. Unique wooden slit windows allow for great air circulation, as do the heat transfer system and air conditioning. The two bedrooms are very spacious each having their own bathroom adjacent. There are two outdoor seating areas including a small chiminea.
The entire property is available for guest access including plenty of space for car parking.

Only 5 minutes walk from central Queenstown Chalet Queenstown is a long known landmark around Queenstown having been initially built in the 1960s. Taken over by Alex and John in 2007 the Chalet was rebuilt in 2009 and refurbished in 2015.
With its Swiss design exterior, the Chalet’s interior has an internal staircase, disabled access and an accessible bedroom and facilities, decking/patio area, balconies for each of the 7 guest rooms, a sunny dining room and guest lounge. Rooms have fabulous views of the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu or Queenstown Hill. Alex and John are renown for their warm hospitality, engaging with guests from all over the world and humour.
Travelling around New Zealand, drinks with friends, good food and proudly talking about all Queenstown has to offer including its beautiful scenery and things that make Alex and John happy. Interesting music, warm islands in winter, live stage performance, scouting out furniture stores are amongst their interests.
It’s a testament to John and Alex’s belief in the future of Queenstown’s tourism industry and they have a lovely property in Arthurs Point which is also available for rental called the Paddock Straw Bale Luxury Holiday House. Yes you read it right the house is made of straw bales and has spectacular views over the Shotover River. Private and just a little way from central Queenstown its a wonderful retreat.
