If you're looking for a relaxed, neighbourhood space in the west end of downtown Toronto, this is your spot. An entire home located in a trendy, residential neighbourhood.
Eating: Full kitchen with nearby grocery stores, or a short walk from great restaurants (mexican, korean, vegan, greek, ethiopian) and coffee shops.
Shopping: A walk away from neighbourhood bookstores, gift shops and clothing.
Entertainment: Big neighbourhood park across the street with a public pool, playground and sports fields. Walking distance to local bars, with live music or dj's, board game cafe's and karaoke. Easy cab or transit to tourist sites and other Toronto entertainment.
Transportation: A five minute walk from two subway stations, plus with advanced notice, we can usually provide a couple of bikes that can be borrowed for touring about town.
Parking: I can arrange for a temporary street parking permit to be ready when you arrive. They cost from $10/24hours to $25/week and I will provide you with a receipt. There is also street parking available during the day, and a paid lot a short walk from the house.
Amenities: Enjoy the tv, internet, piano and having your own comfy space to enjoy working in, or as home base while visiting.
This home belongs to my (lovely, friendly) parents who live in the downstairs apartment and travel often. They may or may not be around during your stay - but their place has a separate entrance. The house itself is two floors, and the bathroom and bedrooms are located on the second floor, accessible by a flight of stairs. We are more likely to reserve weekends for guests staying more than one night. But please send a note regardless, as it will just depend on the timing and need.
Guests have full access to all amenities - the kitchen, backyard deck, and shared living spaces. Street parking permits can be arranged with advanced notice.
Our neighbours are lovely, and we ask that you respect them by being aware of noise levels if you're outside late. Please respect our space as you would want yours respected, and if the plants are looking a bit dry, give them a drink - otherwise, just enjoy!
With a busy and erratic schedule, I don't often meet guests, but am always available for questions! Please feel free to ask, or convey your needs when checking availability.
