Unfortunately, Eli visited us during a 17 hour span where the public water company Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AAA) was working on an emergency repair issue in Aguadilla which resulted in reduced water delivery to ALL of the local area including the cities of Aguada, Rincon, Moca, and Aguadilla. The scope of the outage is the reason why Eli had to travel to San Juan Area as there was no water service anywhere in the immediate area during this time and to find other accommodations he would need to look to a different part of the island. The water service actually returned the next day, and had Eli been more patient we may have had to opportunity to host him and his family.
Living on the island we all know that occasionally there are circumstances that our beyond our control including harsh weather and lack of basics like electricity and water are a part of everyday life. If you read my other reviews during this time frame first week of Sept 2018) you will notice that we had Guests during the same time frame as Eli's visit staying in both of our neighboring units dealing with the inconvenience during that span of hours. These Guests still gave us 5 stars and obviously understand the challenges we face being in a remote and secluded seaside location. I apologized and refunded Eli fully for the inconvenience.
