You'll relax in comfort: A bedroom, a study and a bathroom in your own private wing of the house. The study easily transforms into a second bedroom to accommodate more guests. All this, with sound-proof windows and doors— minutes from the airport!
Here at The Raindrop Inn, you'll be able to relax in your very own wing of the house in a cozy, private suite. You'll find:
• A bedroom, with a comfy, queen sized bed
• A study (that can double as a second bedroom), with your own mini-fridge, microwave oven and coffee-maker (fruit yogurt, fruit, spring water, coffee and cream included)
• Your own private bathroom (towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner supplied)
• Free high-speed wireless internet (it's really fast).
All this on a quiet, tree-lined street that's well situated, minutes from the airport— though you'll never know it, because The Raindrop Inn has sound proof windows and doors— with easy access to all the sites and attractions of San Antonio. Downtown, The River Walk and The Alamo? Just 15 minutes away.
If you like dogs, you'll love it here at the Raindrop Inn. We have three of them for you to fall in love with (but you can't take them home). Bert is a little more out going and his brother Ernie is a little shy. Lola is the most recent addition to the family. She loves people and can be pretty funny. All are friendly, gentle rescue dogs that work with us to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable.
You'll find your suite is in an old, safe, San Antonio neighborhood with tree-lined streets. If you're a fan of breakfast tacos, you'll love the ones you find close by... Speaking of breakfast, The Magnolia Cafe (featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives) has the best pancakes you'll ever have— and the corn beef hash is legendary. For dinner, you'll be able to sample Tex/Mex, cuisine from central Mexico or seafood from the west coast— all within a 10 minute radius. Take your choice. All feature some of the best Mexican fare you'll ever have. If you're craving something else, you'll enjoy the nearby Italian delights (molto buono), killer BBQ, Cajun and an exceptional steak house that'll blow your hair back.
In addition, within that same 10 minute radius you'll find plenty of clubs featuring live music, movie theaters, shopping, parks and more. If you've never experienced a movie at an Alamo Draft House, you should! There is one 5 minutes away—Order lunch or dinner (with the adult beverage of your choice), sit back, relax and enjoy the show... Speaking of relaxing, that's what The Raindrop Inn is all about... relax, and enjoy your stay!
You're welcome to use the back deck as much as you like. It's lovely for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's surrounded by Loquat bushes, Oak and Crepe Myrtle trees and lots of plants. You'll be able to relax in a natural setting. It's pretty cozy in the spring time and fall as well, but truth be told, it can be on the warm side in the summer...
In addition, you are welcome to use the kitchen until 10:00PM.

Rule One: Relax and enjoy your stay.
Rule Two: See rule One.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed, the study has a queen sized Futon couch (very comfy).
No smoking in the house. BUT, you're welcome to relax and enjoy a smoke on the back deck.
The suite is set up so that you have your own wing of the house. You can stay in virtual privacy, or if you like, we're both pretty talkative. Whichever you prefer is fine with us. We've lived in San Antonio for the last five years. It's a big (BIG) change from New York City, where we lived for a long time. We love it here in San Antone— we suspect you will as well.
We specialize in helping folks find new homes, and we help those with financial challenges qualify for a home mortgage (with 100% success!). David— my husband— is our marketing director. As much as we love what we do in our day jobs, we have a great life outside of that as well! I sing with the San Antonio Symphony in The Master Singers— David teaches music and also plays professionally as well.
Our two dogs, Bert and Ernie, are brothers from an animal shelter in Maryland—half Belgian Shepard and half who-knows-what —we think Ernie has some Collie in him, and Bert? maybe some flat-coated retriever. Both are quiet, sweet, gentle dogs that will make you feel right at home.
We love to travel and we delight in hosting AirBnB guests. We have had visitors from all over the world, including England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, South Korea, Australia, Mexico, Canada, India, Papua New Guinea as well as the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern United States. We have enjoyed meeting and hosting all, in no small way. We like to make sure that our guests are comfortable—and that their experience at The Raindrop Inn is nothing short of exceptional.
