Fourth floor on a 1901 building in the heart of the historic center, the oldest Ballarò Market.
The apartment was completely renewed in 2008. There is not elevator so to get the apartment at the fourth floor you need to be a little trained! Your hard work will be truly rewarded as you get inside the apartment. In fact the apartment height provides at least a couple of benefits. First, the view allows you to enjoy the vibrant colours of the market and domes of a couple of nearby old churches. Second, you are very close to the main attractions of the city but if you like you can get away from the rest world, also thanks to the double-glass windows.
The bedrooms for guests are two. This announcement is for “violet” with a single bed (for the other please look at the other announcement with the same title). The room is equipped a single bed, a closet, a drawer, a desk wherease a wifi internet line in an extra option
Contrarily to the apartment, the staircase has not been renewed and therefore it shows signs of time decadence. This also because the building is not a touristic place, in fact, all the other people living in the first three floors are “true” Palermitans, from old ladies speaking an almost archaic dialect to young salesmen travelling with their bikes to sell iron (URL HIDDEN) other words, to climb the stairs may be a very folkloristic experience, and be sure you are living as original Ballarò people!
The bathrooms in the house are of a reduced size but this allows that each room has got its own exclusive bathroom. In any case, both bathrooms have a shower. In addition to the entrance room, the only other room in common is the kitchen. This is equipped with with basic cutlery, plates and pans in addition to fridge, freezer, oven, stove and a washing machine.

I was born and grew in Palermo until 2001 when I've got abroad to get my PhD. I lived seven years in Canada from where I was back in 2008 because...well, you know Italian families! I'm a passionate terrestrial biologist, intrigued from ecology and behaviour of small, fluffy and feathered animals.
No much time beyond my work (yes, I'm a workaholic!). Books and theaters are my interests in town, whereas city sightseeing, scuba diving and birdwatching when travelling.
I recently adopted a motto from some friends in Glasgow who say: work hard, play hard..yes, that is me!!!
