Nestled at the foot of historic Cadbury Castle in beautiful South Cadbury, our home is perfectly situated for anyone looking to escape the rat-race and recharge their batteries. Great local walks and fabulous local pubs within walking distance. A fabulous place to break a journey if you're travelling from London to Cornwall as we are pretty much half way. However, be warned, those that have done this so far, always wish they were staying for longer, and sometimes they do!
Smoking is acceptable outside but please dispose of cigarette ends in the outside bin.
No shoes upstairs, please.
No dogs upstairs or on the downstairs furniture at any time. Please pick up after your dogs while in the garden or out walking. There are poo bags in the utility area in the back hall if you don't have any. There is a green bin at the bottom of the hill, just the other side of the lane from us that is supplied by the council for disposing of dog poo, so it couldn't be easier. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Please leave our home as you would wish to find it.
Please do let me know of any breakages or blown light bulbs etc so that I can ensure they're replaced for you or the next guests.
Thank you and have a lovely stay.
I've lived on the Somerset/Dorset border since running away from the Big Smoke in the 1980s. I'm a creative and most of my working life has been as a children's book author and I've written books in my own name and ghost-written books for many a children's book illustrators too. Since my four boys have started growing up and moving away, I thought it'd be a lovely idea to share our ancient old home with other people. We live in a beautiful and historic village which nestles under the dramatic Iron Age hill fort that is known as Cadbury Castle or Camelot, for all you Arthurian legend fans. I love the concept of Airbnb and have so enjoyed redecorating the cottage into a private, comfortable and welcoming home-from-home in which our Airbnb guests can rest, relax and unwind.
