Named for the Duchess of Windsor, a famous house guest, this 4th-floor studio apartment has a view of the secret garden she enjoyed. Let the 19th-century Tiffany Mansion transport you back to Baltimore's "Gilded Age" past.
Perfect for theater/museum weekends. Center Stage, BSO, Lyric Opera, Walters Museum, Peabody, & restaurants all in walking distance. Easy access to Penn Station, Inner Harbor, Downtown, Harbor East, and Federal Hill.

Named for the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, a famous Baltimore socialite from the neighborhood who married King Edward VIII of England, this tastefully-appointed studio apartment is your own private pied-à-terre in the middle of Baltimore's grandest historic neighborhood, Mount Vernon. The Duchess was guest of the mansion as well as a member of the private Ladies' Club next door, before moving to Paris with the King after his abdication of the throne.
The apartment features a brand-new queen-sized mattress/bed, sitting area with TV, work desk, and antique armoir. 12-foot ceilings, beautiful wooden moldings, and a carved French marble fireplace mantle add a bit of Parisian grandeur to the space. Huge windows, that date back to the 1860s when the mansion was expanded by the famous Tiffany family, offer a view of the garden where the Duchess used to stroll and the former Stafford Hotel where F. Scott Fitzgerald once lived.
The bathroom has white subway tile and cast iron sink that are over 100 years old. The kitchen is just the right size to whip up a small lunch or dinner. However, just steps away outside the front doors, there are more great restaurants in Mount Vernon than you will likely be able to visit during your stay. I can give you detailed suggestions based upon what kind of food you like.
This apartment only accommodates up to 2 guests. No exceptions. If you have more quests, I have other listings in the mansion which can be combined to accommodate up to 12 guests traveling together.
Private access to the whole apartment, which is located on the 4th floor in the rear of a stunning 19th-century mansion. Guests have direct access to the parks and gardens just outside the main front door.
