As this is a remote location, we would suggest a visit to a supermarket in Cairns or Atherton prior to your stay. There are two supermarkets, pubs, banks and a chemist, PO, butcher and medical centre in the town of Ravenshoe just 15 minutes drive away.
Cascades is a rare and unique property located in an environment that boasts raw and natural, untouched beauty. We ask that you respect Mother Nature's Wonderland by not littering in any shape or form on or in the property. The abundance of wildlife are particularly inquisitive and will investigate any rubbish left out. Please ensure to use the bins provided. No pets allowed. Smoking on decks only, please respectfully use ashtrays provided.
Do not use the tennis court area after 10 pm.
I am a woman who thrives on beautiful natural environments. I like to keep fit through cycling, swimming, yoga and meditation. I bought my property in 1999 as I saw it was a unique, untouched place bordered by a river and national park. There was a cascade in the river which becomes wide during the wet seasonThe 90 acres was covered in forest. There was a creek flowing through it to the river and this has a gorge with a waterfall plus 3 other waterfalls along its course. I have adopted a land management style of leaving this landscape relatively untouched to provide habitat for wildlife and humans alike.
