If you walk to the end of the beach, you will see some stairs. At the top of the stairs you can walk to the village of St Jean and La passable beach ( the beach has a private section, where you can pay for a mattress and waiter service) from here you can walk right around the cap. It's a fantastic walk.
Also lovely to continue on to village of beaulieu.
In villefranche, both the citadel and chapelle Sainte-Pierre are well worth a visit.
Eze village is a beautiful medieval village. Well worth walking right to the top for spectacular views. Best to start visit from the moyenne corniche.
Tourist offices are located at the Gare Maritime building, on the seafront next to Wilson Carpark and Jardin Francis Binon, very near l'octroi bus stop on the basse corniche.
Rubbish bins are located at Wilson Carpark, on the seafront. Also at the bottom of the stairs/ start of villefranche beach.
When checking out, would you kindly leave the keys at Caviem, 19 rue du poilu. It's a large beige letter box, with Caviem written on it.
The most important house rule is that no pebbles from the beach go down into the drains. There are showers on the beach, for this reason. The drains are very old and so please make sure that only the bare essentials pass through themone and other. I would like guests to be respectful. The walls are very thick, so normal noise levels are fine. Please not too excessive as some neighbours are elderly.
I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Moved to London in the nineties as I married an English man. Have two children. We live between England and France. I love living in Europe as I love the art and culture of Europe. I have a strong passion for theatre and the performing arts, although I still maintain a strong attachment for my home country, Australia. Have always been a staunch Francophile and lover of the French way of life.
