I am sorry you felt this way Allison. I stated that I would clear the closet for you when you saw my apartment before booked your stay. I did not realize you were moving your entire apartment into my tiny New York apartment and that is why I suggested to you that a storage unit might be the better solution for all of your extra things. When you asked for more room, I moved my things immediately. Even though you had my only closet, a garment rack and a shelving area to have folded clothing. I did not know that you were moving everything to new york. I have had multiple guests stay at my apartment, for extended amounts of time and they haven't had to ask for more space. I feel like I was accommodating to your needs. I am sorry if you felt like I was rude if I questioned the amount of space you needed. I just never had to do that for anyone else.
The laundry card, I sent you the link so that you could get your own card. I don't think it is reasonable for me to pay for your laundry to be cleaned. I sent you the link so that you could load your own money to your own card.
When you moved in in May, there wasn't a need for an air conditioning unit. It was 60-70 degrees outside and I didn't think you would want a machine blocking the manhattan view if you weren't going to use it. I used my air conditioner today and it worked fine. It is hard to believe that the AC didn't work because my electricity bill spiked up 400% and I did not charge you extra for the outrageous bills I will have to pay. I was not even mean about it. I think that if you had to pay an extra $400 to your utilities, you would be upset. I offered to order a new panel but you did not seem concerned about it and it is my fault to not follow up with that. For that I am sorry.
I do have a maid come to clean after each guest but this time I had to pay extra. My furniture was rearranged. My large rug was pull out and crumbled in another room. Pills were all over the floor. Strange white powders were all over the bathroom and there was mildew everywhere. I don't expect my apartment to be exactly the way I left it as you stayed there for a little over 2 months, I just didn't think you would have left it in that condition. It is just disappointing because you were so nice and I thought you were going to be responsible and mature.
Before you arrived, I bought new pots and a kettle. I have had guests before you and I also live there and so of course there would be dry goods in the cupboards as you left a lot in them too. There were a few onions in the fridge and I left them because I thought you might use them. I will be sure to clear everything out next time.
I didn't mean to be hurtful in the text. I was just surprised by the state of my apartment and just wanted to ask if I did something wrong to you for you to leave my apartment such a mess. I am hurt that you would treat my home that way. I even extended your stay and gave you a big discount in good faith that you would treat my home with care. I even found that the only key to my mail box is chipped and I can't get my mail and now have to get a new one from the post office. It is just a disappointment after disappointment. I hope that if you ever stay at another person's house, you would treat it with more respect. I don't think you would ever want someone to leave your apartment like the way mine looked.
