Immaculate, light and spacious double bedroom and bathroom in artist's peaceful, interior-designed period home. Quiet residential street in fabulous central, up-market area. Excellent shops and restaurants. Stunning Battersea Park (200 acres of parkland, including small zoo, boating lake, café) less than 1 min walk. Brilliant transport links to the rest of London via Victoria, Sloane Square, Waterloo or Clapham Junction Stations. Great for day trips to Brighton, Bath, Oxford and the Cotswolds.
You will be our only guests. We have one Immaculate double guest room with an extremely comfortable double bed (new mattress) and sofa, in our quiet, interior-designed, period home. We provide feather and down pillows and duvet, Egyptian cotton sheets, and excellent quality towels.
There is a large bathroom (bath only), and a separate shower room. Occasionally my daughter will use the bathroom when she is at home from university, otherwise it will be for your use only. The shower room is exclusively for guests to use.
Huge eat-in kitchen available to make breakfast until 10am, or for tea at any time, with french windows leading to the delightful patio garden.
Central location in quiet residential street, set one street back from beautiful Battersea Park, which means that the house is much quieter than properties directly overlooking the park. Excellent transport links via Sloane Square, Victoria, Waterloo and Clapham Junction. We provide full transport details in the 'Getting Around' section, and please ask if you need help planning a journey.
Tesco supermarket (open 7am-10pm Mon-Sat and 11am-5pm on Sunday) 2 minutes walk, and Little Waitrose supermarket (open 24 hours) 7 minutes walk from the house.

Check in time is 3-11pm, but please let us know if a later check-in is unavoidable, and we will do our best to accomodate it. Check out time is 10am.
We do not allow any casual overnight guests.
We have two friendly medium-sized and well-trained dogs (whippets). They are very clean, sleep in a kennel at night, and we can make sure they don't bother you if you do not like dogs. They are short- haired, and they are not allowed upstairs unless closely supervised, so we have not yet had any allergy issues. If you like dogs, whippets are more than happy to be cuddled all day long!

Please leave your outdoor shoes at the front door.
We are keen to preserve the quality our home for us and for future guests, particularly the carpets, curtains, upholstery and vintage blankets. If you notice something is broken, or has dirty marks on it, please let us know so that we can fix it or have it cleaned right away. Please do not remove the blanket covering the sofa in your room, it is there to protect the upholstery. If you are cold and need more blankets for the bed please let me know.
Please hang your towels on the hooks provided behind the bathroom door. Please do not hang wet towels on the ladder in your room, it is decorative only, or on the sofa.
Please do not smoke in the house or garden, or light candles.
You are welcome to make your own breakfast in the kitchen up until 10am, and to make tea at any time. If you wish to make a hot breakfast, please let me know the night before, and I will leave out the necessary equipment Please note that the kitchen is not available for cooking at other times.
Please do not take any food or drink, other than water, into the bedroom or bathroom. Please use the mats provided to protect the kitchen table, and please leave the kitchen as you find it (glass cleaner for the table is under the sink).
Please turn out lights when you are not using them, and help us to air the room by opening both sets of curtains during the day, unless of course you need to sleep!
Please double (middle and bottom) lock the front door if you are last to leave the house, and do the same from the inside if you are the last in at night, taking care to remove the keys from the lock.
Cleaning, Linen and towels: our cleaner will vacuum your room on Saturday afternoon. If you are staying longer than 1 week, and would like fresh linen and towels, please leave your dirty linen or towels in the bath on Saturday morning, and she will leave you a fresh set.
We are really happy you are considering staying in our home. We will be here to greet you when you arrive, and to answer any questions and offer recommendations if you would like them during your stay. However, we also respect your privacy. We have a 'house book' which explains how the house works, and has extensive details of the local area, and plenty of information about great things to do all over London.
We have been hosting on airbnb since January 2016. In the first five months of hosting, we have successfully welcomed 35 guests from over 20 countries! We also have years of experience doing house swaps on the Homelink International website, through which we have swapped our home with people from Hong Kong, Thailand, Morocco, France and the USA.
