After living in 3 of the 5 of the NYC burroughs, I've found the perfect apartment! Anyone who's ever lived in or visited NYC will appreciate this apartment's trifecta of exceptional train access, tons of light and SPACE!
The corner unit on the 5th floor of a 6 floor elevator building, I've never had an apartment with more light and space. I have views of 3 different directions and can literally see the sunrise from my bed every morning!
If you're an artist, even better! As a professional artist myself, I've adapted the space to serve all my creative needs. My guest room also serves as a studio/work space. The futon in the room folds down into a very comfortable bed if used as a bedroom, but equipped with a brand new custom-fabricated work table made from all reclaimed wood and parts from right here in NY. The room has plenty of space for painting or any other creative activity! If you're a photographer, the desk and monitor is perfect for adjusting/sorting any photos taken from your trip. However, when entertaining guest for dinner parties the table and space serves as a great dining area. Easily plug your laptop (or iPhone) into the NEC monitor or into my HD projector and Yamaha/Klipsch sound system. With high speed wifi throughout the apartment, you can stream movies/music to your heart's content!
With so much original artwork and personal investment in this space I'm honestly a bit reticent to share it with strangers! However, as much as I travel (I'm a documentary photographer), it just seems a shame for the space to not be put to use while I'm not here. I figure it's worth giving this a try!
The apartment accommodates 5 comfortably (2 couples on each of the beds and one on the couch). I also have a huge air mattress and a cot for larger parties.
No smoking anywhere in apartment even with open window.
No activity on fire escape.
People staying in apartment must be on reservation list.
I'm a documentary photographer who travels a lot for work. I have lived in Barcelona, Johannesburg, The Gambia, New Mexico, Arizona and have now settled in NYC. NY is the perfect home base for all the things I care about in life: art, music, culture and easy access to almost anywhere in the world!
