Private double room in a lovely shared flat with a friendly and well-travelled professional couple (and Louis the cat). Shared facilities incl. living room with TV and bay window, a well-equipped kitchen & bathroom with shower. Close to Glasgow University, the Hydro/SEC, with excellent public transport links to city centre, Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, etc. Many parks, pubs, museums, shops and supermarkets all within walking distance. Free printing and unlimited internet connection.
- Cleanliness is next to godliness! We try to keep a clean and tidy house and would ask our guests to do the same. Also please remove your shoes in the hall.
- Absolutely no smoking in the flat, including e-cigarettes/vaping. When we first moved in we had to clean decades-worth of nicotine stains off the wall. Not fun!
- Please do not open windows more than the first 'click'. Louis likes sitting at the windows and, being a cat, has no fear of heights whatsoever! He can't get out so long as they're not open further. Also, being an old property, the window cills are very low and easy to fall over!
- No parties and respect the neighbours (i.e. no overly loud music, etc.). They're very nice to us and we'd like to keep it that way!
My name is Alastair and I live in Glasgow, Scotland, with my partner Catherine and cat, Louis. We love Glasgow; it's a fantastic creative city with some awesome countryside right on its doorstep. But it does also rain quite a lot here so we love to travel even more! We are an international couple (I am from Scotland, Catherine is half Belgian, half Brazilian) who met whilst travelling through Europe in 2010. We are never happier than when we are travelling!
I'm an architect who, besides travel, loves photography, cycling and swimming. Oh, and food.
Catherine is an aspiring expert in Russia/Eastern Europe and is studying for a PhD at Glasgow University and currently speaks 4 languages (soon to be 6!). She also loves most of the same things I do.
We started hosting on Airbnb over a year ago and have loved the experience so far!
