Home is professionally managed by Tahoe Keys Resort and we are there for you should you need anything during your stay. We welcome you here at our office during check in, answering any questions you may have about your home, the neighborhood and where to play while you are in town! We have an after-hours emergency hotline as well as convenient office hours. Late check-ins are no problem, as we can set up a lock-box for you outside our office door.

Rental Agreement

This agreement is made between the tenant named and Tahoe Keys Resort on behalf of the owner of the unit identified. By booking your rental of this property with Tahoe Keys Resort, you acknowledge that you have read and understand, and agree to be bound by all terms, conditions, and policies in this Agreement, including any Unit-Specific Terms. In consideration for rental of the above unit, Tenant agrees to the following items:

To pay promptly all charges made by Tahoe Keys Resort to the extent that such charges have not been prepaid.

The minimum age to rent or check in is 21 years old.
Tenant will not allow the property to be occupied by more than the maximum posted occupancy. We will require license plate #, state of registration, make, and model of all vehicles parked at the property you have reserved.

Please treat the Property with the same care you would use with your own residence and leave it in the same condition it was in when you arrived. To prevent theft of or damage to furnishings or your personal property, you agree to close and lock doors and windows when you are not present at the Property and upon check-out. You and other Occupants agree to conduct yourselves throughout your stay in a manner that is respectful of and not disruptive to neighbors or the community and that will not prompt complaints to Tahoe Keys Resort from police, neighbors, or homeowner associations. Noise audible outside the Property is prohibited between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. There are no parties or weddings allowed in any private residence.

Tenant agrees to be responsible for all damages and theft that may occur during occupancy of unit by tenant or any member of tenant's party. Tenant agrees to pay the replacement cost of any missing item. When Tenant checks out of unit, an inspection will be done by Tahoe Keys Resort. If there has been no damage or theft or breach of the Vacation Rental Ordinance, the security deposit if applicable will be returned by the 15th of the following month.

A re-keying fee of $100.00 is charged for non-returned keys. Upon your departure, all keys must be returned to the office. Non-returned beach pass or parking pass will be a $50.00 fee for replacement cost.

Please report any problems with the unit to our office at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) as soon as possible. We are unable to help you if you wait until checkout. No refunds will be issued due to road closures, power, gas or cable outages, etc.

Please review the posted maximum number of parking spaces available at the property so as not to exceed the posted limit. No overnight parking is allowed on the street.

No pets, of any kind are allowed without required pre-authorization, a $25.00 per pet fee plus tax and separate pet deposit required. Maximum of 2. Not all properties are Pet Friendly.

Tenant is responsible for bagging all trash and cleaning all dishes prior to check out. There will be an extra charge for dirty dishes and un-bagged trash. Smoking is prohibited in all properties and will result in automatic forfeiture of the security deposit. For all reservations, check-out time is 10:00 am.

Tahoe Keys Resort reserves the right to substitute a comparable property should the original property booked be unavailable for the dates of the reservation. If comparable accommodations are not available, you will have the option of a) selecting from other available properties with any cost variances being refunded or charged as applicable b) receiving a full refund of your reservation payment. In the event of a substitution of rental properties, all Terms in this Agreement, plus any terms specific to the substituted property, shall apply to your stay in the substituted property.

Any failure by you or any other Occupants to comply with any of the terms above may result in a forfeiture of your rights to rent the Property, up to and including immediate eviction from the Property without refund. In addition you are responsible for, and you authorize us to bill your credit card on file for the full amount of (1) any damage or loss that occurs at the Property during your stay; (2) an additional cleaning fee of up to $500 for violations of any of the guest policies above or for excessive cleaning required by the acts or omissions of any Occupant during your stay; and (3) any fines issued by police, other government officials or agencies, and/or homeowner associations for violation of any law, ordinance during your stay, and any damages that result from the violation.

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Tahoe Keys Resort and Owner for all claims for property damage, personal injury, or monetary loss resulting from your actions or omissions, and the actions or omissions of other Occupants, during your stay.

Venue of any action arising under this contract shall be in El Dorado County. The prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable Attorney's fee.

The house has a good size, perfectly fine for 8 people. It is a little big dark, but since we went out all day it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen is huge and the Jacuzzi is definitely a plus. The location's fine. Just in the middle of the forest and from a decent 10 minutes drive from the lake. The only bad experience was that the propane of the grill run out the very first barbecue, so be sure to double check that to not end up disappointed. Besides that, it was a convenient house.

We were unsuccessful at getting a different house when we were trying to book, and Lisa included this listing as a suggestion. How perfect! The pictures accurately reflect the property-- it is a family home, comfortable with updated bathrooms. The linens/beds were all clean, towels were provided. Hot tub was ready! The best thing was the proximity to neighbors: empty lots surrounding, so if you have loud family or young children, you won't feel so embarrassed if your child has a meltdown-- pretty private! 5-minute drive to casinos, and of course the beaches were a few minutes further. Would definitely recommend this to family groups, and even friend get-togethers. We stayed during summer, but winter here would be awesome-- you could almost walk your skis/board to Heavenly! FYI: you must use stairs to get in to the house, in case anybody has disabilities making this difficult. Also, there is a 3-vehicle limit per the city police because it is a vacation rental.

First off, Lisa was responsive and great to deal with regarding this rental. I would rent from her anytime! The cabin itself was tucked away in the woods not far from Heavenly. My group wasn't there for skiing, just a nice place to stay for a summer family getaway and this was perfect. The kitchen is dated but absolutely functional and there is seating for 6 at the dining room table and plenty of additional seating in the living room area. Besides figuring out the 4 remote controls, there was easy access to TV, cable and a DVD player. The house was stocked with books and board games/puzzles and some movies. There are 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, as described. The bathrooms have been fully remodeled and the bedrooms are outfitted with very cute linens. All the beds were comfortable (2 queens and 2 twin beds) and there were TONS of very nice pillows (thank you!!! I love pillows!). There was also easy parking for 2 vehicles and you could fit a third in the driveway if needed. My only complaint would be that there was no AC and about half of the windows were missing (or had damaged screens) so it was hard to cool the place down in the afternoons without bugs taking over the inside of the house. This normally would not be a problem in Tahoe, but it was 90-95F most days that we were there. Overall I would absolutely rent for Lisa again and even possibly rent this property during a cooler time of the year or if the screens were replaced/repaired. A slightly later checkout would be nice too (10am is a bit early!).

The cabin was awesome and perfect for our vacation to Tahoe! Much more spacious than I had thought which was perfect, the outside hot tub was awesome to relax in after hitting the slopes which are only a few blocks away. The closest neighbor is about 50 or so feet away on each side so it is very quiet and secluded. Definitely will stay here again next time I come back to Tahoe!

I have worked in the Hopitality business for the last 20 years - the first 8 years in hotels, the last 12 in the professional vacation rental management business. I love this business because I believe that vacations are important - no matter where you stay! It doesn't have to be fancy - and most often that is not what I look for when I vacation - I am looking to make the most out of where ever in the world I am. I want to live like a local - and get a real feel for the vibe of an area.
