If you need room for seven to ten people, we can accommodate extra guests on air mattresses in the common areas or in the large bedrooms, themselves. Kids and teens sleep very comfortably on the air mattresses which are all out fitted with sheets, quilts, and pillows, but we’ve also comfortably accommodated as well!

Общение с гостями
We love to interact with our guests and look forward to getting to know you, but we also respect the times you'll want to be alone to rest and relax. Either way, we'll be available throughout your stay to help you with any needs or questions that may arise.
We have animals at the Farmette, but they are outdoors only: chickens, geese, cats, and a dog. Occasionally a cat may try to get in when guests are coming or going, but they are promptly put back outside again!
We cannot control cats from sleeping on lawn furniture on the front porch, so if you are allergic to cats, you will want to use the screened-in porch to relax (weather permitting).

Small children must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling when outdoors. Keep your little ones close by if you decide to sit outside outside on the porch or take a walk around the yard or pike. The house and three season room are the perfect place for little ones to toddle around without having to worry that they'll be in any danger of wandering off, but if you decide to go outside with small children you must be with them at all times.
There are outdoor farm animals on the property: chickens, geese, cats and a dog (she is harmless, but has a big welcoming bark, letting us know you have arrived). No animals live indoors.
If we make an exception to our 'no pets allowed policy" your pet must be crated when you are not on the premises.
Hi! Welcome to the Farmette! My husband and I are parents of four grown children and grandparents to two grandchildren who live in Lexington, KY. Originally from Illinois, we moved to Kentucky six years ago to care for my elderly father. Now that that season of life is over, we have opened our country home to share with others who are visiting in the area.
We love: front porch sittin', Southern cooking, French press coffee, old books, writing, morning devotions out on the porch, nature, photography, fishing, horses, and the rolling hills of Kentucky (not necessarily in that order)!
Our life motto: Every day is a gift!
