Amazing little property, amazing amenities, such a cute designed cabin, and the best this ever a S'mores kit!!! A littlw trouble with the hot tub but hoat were reaponsive to offer a solution! We look forward to staying there again!

OUTSTANDING!!! I would live there if I could! Liz was VERY responsive within 5 min max while I was there. The home itself is so cute, clean, comfortable and the area is quiet. I had everything I needed and all of the instructions were very detailed and easily understood. The first night it rained and the sound on the roof could of put me to sleep. The outside fenced in area was comfortable and if I had of brought my pet it would of been enough room for him to play and do his business. This is by far my favorite place and host!! Thank you Liz!!!

Perfect family getaway! Peaceful, serene, and relaxing. We enjoyed fishing and paddling in the pond, playing corn hole, playing board games and watching DVDs together. Did not miss the Internet or cable TV at ALL while we were there. The best sleep I’ve had all year because I was so relaxed. We will be back again!

We enjoyed the walks to the water daily with our fur kids. Cooking out on the grill, sitting in the chairs reading, and just general peace and quiet. This is great place to get away for a few days. Jim and Joan provided great check instructions and directions to their Lodges location. There is also a wonderful pizza place just a short drive away if you need a break from cooking try Pino Pizza.

We had the nicest stay at the Cozy Cabin! We were in Raleigh for our daughter’s wedding and it was our home away from home for the week. It was bright and clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic. Very centrally located to everything we needed to do in preparation for the wedding. The home itself is very well-maintained. The yard was huge and fully fenced, and it was such a plus that our dogs were permitted. The kitchen and baths were spacious and immaculate. The beds and linens were clean and comfy. Bonus points for plenty of parking. We will definitely book again when we are in Raleigh!

Cathy’s place was extremely casual and well lived in. We felt right at home. I love that you could spread out. Everything was clean. I love the bonus of the back deck where we could sit and have happy hour every night. Thanks so much.

This place is breathtaking. Both the inside and the outside. My jaw dropped on the ground when we got there in joy with how serene the surroundings are. Impossible find in the Henderson area.

Stayed for a duck hunting trip. The accommodations were good. They even went and got us space heaters since it was low to mid 20s at night to make sure we were warm as we could be. Very friendly people. Nice clean place for a little hunt/fish trip get away!

Very nice camping grounds. We enjoyed our two night stay in the cabin. It was nice to have access to kayaks and a canoe and can’t forget the big fishing pond! Our kids caught lots of fish and Joan & Jim were kind enough to send us our pole lol that was left behind by accident. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed staying at this property. I was here for 4 months for work in town and had no issues. There are a good number of travel trailers on the property but the house is in the back corner so it still had a good sense of privacy. At night there are so many stars, you could sit up all night and still not count them all. There are chickens and roosters that roam the property and give it a wonderful sense of being in the country. The heating and air conditioning works wonderfully, the bed is very comfortable (maybe bring a pillow or two), the kitchen is minimal so maybe bring a grill or a plug in burner for cooking food, otherwise you're about 5-10 minutes from town. Shirley communicated great, if you ever have any issues she's quick to address it. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever come work in town again.

If you want a quiet getaway, this is the place. Great for families and the couple trying to hide from everyone. Phone reception may not be the best, but we loved that part. Cabins are cute and clean. Beds are really soft, might be the only thing I was not a fan of, but I personally like a hard mattress, so definitely nothing against the place as this is just personal preference.

This was our 4th time coming here and we will definitely be back! Our hosts are the definition of great hospitality. Waking up to the peaceful waterfront view never gets old.

A very enjoyable cottage/ cabin, well cared for, had all the things you could want, great, detailed book to help in all possible ways, including local clinic and or other possible locations that could be helpful. The place was vast and lush, it had a small marina, swimming hole, deck over the marina, and gorgeous views over the lake into the pastoral lives of the community. They have canoes for the wanderlust adventurer. My dogs had a terrific time exploring the forest trails, on leash, and the compound. I would have liked more of those to hike with them. It's super remote and peaceful/ quiet but a short drive out of the compound and you have a terrific pizzeria with cannoli, seafood entrees, pizza, burgers. Further along, a wonderful cafe with everything Starbucks offers and much more: full breakfast, lunch deli meat sandwiches, all made to order. There is a fine restaurant towards NC with a sports bar and further a public beach, $10p/adult which is DJed. Everyone super helpful

We had such a wonderful weekend at the Lake. It was our first time here with our family full of teenagers. They had absolutely no problem with no television or wi-fi. We were able to swim at the lake, we had a bon fire and had a cook out. I would highly recommend this little hidden gem to anyone who needs to just recharge! Great family bonding time! This is a hidden gem for folks looking for peace off the beaten path. I stayed on “the Hideaway” and it was a perfect fit for me— someone who loves to camp, but is frankly too old to do it all anymore ;) I could hear people around, but never saw anyone unless I went to the common areas. And the whole place was quiet by about 9 PM, (which was a total gift). I could see this place being great for small weddings or family reunions . The owners were friendly and respectful and I left feeling like I didn’t want to leave yet and was making plans in my mind as to when I could come back soon.
