Hills O'Sharon Cabin in the Woods

Our 2-story log cabin (approx. 1,700 sq. ft.) provides plenty of outdoor refreshment with a spacious front porch and back deck with a dual gas/charcoal grill, balcony, wooden swing, and a firepit with plenty of cut firewood. It sits within a private holler on 105 acres along the edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest. The rustic-chic decor inside combines antique furnishings, repurposed barn wood paneling, unique lighting, electric fireplace, and a claw-footed tub amidst modern conveniences.

This beautiful, absolutely clean, modernized rustic cabin is centered near the Daniel Boone National Forest, Wildcat Off-Road, and Sheltowee Trace hiking and biking trail. Also visit these great outdoor attractions such as the Cumberland Falls, Perryville and Mill Springs Battle Fields, float the Rock Castle River, boat Cumberland Lake or just relax at Laurel Lake beach, or just stay near the cabin and watch the horses go by. Lastly, ask about the local pastry, you won't be disappointed!

Relax in this tranquil mountain get away surrounded by nature. It is secluded in the woods yet close to many amenities. It’s 15 mins from the I75 exit in Berea KY and less than an hour south of Lexington KY. Places of interest like the Berea College Campus, Owsley Fork Lake, the Indian Fort “ Pinnacles” Hiking Trails and Anglin Falls are 10 minutes away. It’s a 30 minute drive to Renfro Valley and 75 minutes to the countless trails in Red River Gorge and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.

River Run is located in the Daniel Boone National Forest, conveniently just 4 miles off I-75, exit 49. This newer river home provides tranquil views of the river, while enjoying nature from the back deck. "Wildcat Adventures Off Road Park" is located approx 5 1/2 miles away, we welcome ATV riders! Nature hiking trails, Kayak rentals, and river access is also located nearby. The property is fenced in, and has ample parking for trailers with SXS's. Security night light near the parking area.
