Little Springfield is a lovely place; extremely comfortable and well equipped, a beautiful view and everything you need for a wonderful stay. The area around is beautiful, very close to Bude and the coast path but private and quiet.

Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

Stephen was so accommodating and helpful , a brilliant host. The accommodation is fab, my 11 year old daughter and I stayed and it was cosy and comfortable. It is located on a gorgeous camp site which is home to lots of peacocks 🦚 which was lovely. We used the accommodation as a base to see my son and friends near Padstow throughout each day, so we didn’t sit around much or even turn the TV on! But we enjoyed it and will definitely return . grateful for a lovely stay. Huge thanks.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Came down for two nights and it was so peaceful and charming that we stayed for three. Juliet was really helpful throughout, the well stocked kitchen was a pleasant suprise and made the stay a dream, and waking up in that beautiful secluded little space with the birds singing was such a welcome break from out London home. The whole space felt very private and you can really relax there. It's not the easiest place to find, but Juliet's instructions were very helpful. We will definitely stay again if we're around the area Thanks Juliet!

Very cosy secluded shepherds hut with a stunning view over the valley. The hot tub takes a few hours to warm up which is to be expected, but once warm it's absolutely perfect to relax in for the evening. While small, the shepards hut has everything you need for a quiet weekend away and the bed is warm and comfortable. Local towns are a twenty minute drive away so close enough to find somewhere for food or supplies, but you're in the sticks enough that we didn't see anyone other than the farmer on the other side of the valley.

The Cabin was SO special! I stayed with my 3 kids and they absolutely loved it. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay, it was super comfortable and stylish and a lovely short walk into town by the river. Beds v comfy and lovely little veranda for sitting in the sunshine!

This is one of the most beautiful, idylic places I have stayed in. The incredible views, the privacy, and the beautiful cabin itself were all perfect. Lucy is such a lovely host, and you can tell the care and thought involved in making the stay special, from the little treats and prosecco on arrival, to the welcome message and the fantastic communication. Everything was honestly amazing, I'd recommend Rosies Retreat to anyone and I'll absolutely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was exactly as described and the layout is so well thought out. There were really homely touches and they made sure to have some bread, butter and milk there for arrival which we were grateful for. Loved that there were recommendations for places to go and also restaurants to try that Chris and Emma have both used themselves, we were really happy with the selection when we tried them too. Having parking was great and I received the most helpful instructions from Chris about how to find the cabin along with pictures for ease. We our time here and would 100% come back again when next in Cornwall ☺️

Wow!! What a beautiful little hut. We absolutely loved staying here. The hut is located in a quiet, peaceful section with large fencing for added privacy. The outside area is decorated with little fairy lights all around, making the whole space feel magical and cosy. I loved the variety in seating, a picnic bench to enjoy dinner and a cosier place to sit with blankets and cushions. The inside of the hut was gorgeous. It had a rustic charm which added to the level of coziness. The hut is equipped with everything you need and cute added extras. We appreciated the complimentary sourdough, bread and jam which we enjoyed in the gorgeous sunshine! We stayed here for one night but honestly wish we had booked two!! We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much Nat and Mark! 🌟

Great getaway for us as a family of 4. Great to have all the animals, swings and games to play around us for the kids to be occupied and gave us time to relax in the setting around us. Truck was very comfy and was a great place to stay.

Nathan and his mother in law was brilliant, very helpful and lovely surroundings. We had a brilliant time and very relaxed.

Fantastic cosy cabin, perfect for one or two people! Very pleasant to stay at, warmly decorated and kept in immaculate condition. The kitchenette is just right for the stay that involves mostly dining out and/or bringing leftovers back, with all the morning refreshments provided as well. All the amenities are covered and explained well in provided instructions, too! Placed in the back garden of a very quiet neighbourhood, ideal to come back to for relaxation after a day exploring Devon. The host is very welcoming and the included plenty of local recommendations alongside the cabin use instructions!

We had a beautiful bank holiday weekend stay at the shepherds hut. It is exactly as described and in a great location. We went on some really lovely walks with the dog. Danielle was a great host, easy to contact and quick to respond. She also provided lots of different walks to go on and places to go, however after our walk we just enjoyed chilling out at the hut for the rest of the day as it was so nice and private and surrounded by a lovely woodland which our dog loved and the hot tub was a great addition that us humans loved. We would definitely stay again and hopefully will very soon.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay. Everything was perfect. Will definitely be back.

Stayed here for an early bank holiday celebrating my wife's birthday, we absolutely loved the place, the surrounding garden area was absolutely beautiful and very private/peaceful, the accommodation had everything we needed for a short stay with a very comfortable bed and nice hot shower. The hottub was obviously the highlight and we were both very sad to get out for the final time. Location was also very good, walking distance to both the train station, supermarket (Lidl) and the town centre. Although I grew up in Devon, I don't recall spending anytime here in Teignmouth but we had a great time exploring both the town and took a boat across the Shaldon one of the days also. Would highly recommend staying here for a nice and relaxing getaway.

Great stay at the Shepherds Hut. Very clean, good location and hot tub was a bonus. I would say good place for a weekend break. Would struggle to stay for longer as hut is what it says it is, small, so has no storage for clothes or food, etc, hence perfect for a short stay. Hot tub was great, ideal to come back to after a long day out and about, and soak not only in the bubbles but take in the brilliant view and watch the sunset in the distance. Price wise of the hut, personally think it was a little steep for our two night stay, but wouldn't stop us considering a return, due to the quirkiness and location.

I was attending a yoga course 5 mins drive from the shepherds hut and found this place on Air bnb and it was just perfect. Place was exactly as described and I felt so comfortable and relaxed there. Shepherds hut is cosy, private bathrooms, kitchen and lounge area and plenty of outdoor space. Everything was clean and spotless. Met the hosts and their little girl plus Alfie the dog and they were so lovely and welcoming. I loved the train ride - such a unique experience! Thank you I cannot reccommend more highly and will definitely stay again.

An ideally located cabin with beautiful surroundings it was so peaceful and tranquil we couldn't of asked for any more the cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped just sitting in the hot tub with a drink watching the sun set was amazing we will definatly be going back

Way beyond expectation in every way! Hosts were lovely and welcoming and went above and beyond in every way! The property is unbelievable, unique in every way and offers absolutely everything you could imagine. Location was outstanding, peaceful, private and views to die for with amazing sunsets and sun rises to top it off! Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.

Emma and Trev were there to greet us upon arrival and were more than helpful with showing us around, providing instructions with the facilities and introducing us to the animals. The location was perfect for us to get away from our 'normal' and enjoy the peaceful contryside. Prior to arriving, we were sent a list of recommendations of things to do, places to eat and locations to visit, which we made good use of along with our own plans. Due to them hard at work on the farm meant we would see them often and enjoy a catch up and If we needed help, they were always on hand and went out their way to ensure our stay was a memorable one. 100% would and already have recommended this stay to family and friends. We had a beautiful stay at Mill Cross in the Jenny Wren Shepard’s hut over a long weekend. Emma and Kevin were brilliant hosts, they were so kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to chat to them and learn about what the do and who they are. Our fire was lit for us to keep the cabin cosy and the hot tub perfectly warmed for us in the evenings. A highlight for us was the abundance of wonderfully friendly animals, it made our morning to have the hens coming running up to say hi, excited greetings from their lovely dog Juno, purrs from the very friendly cat Pickles, and happy hellos from the characterful goats. Stunning location, beautifully clean with expert craftsmanship. Very eco friendly as well. Emma’s homemade bread was delicious and we will be trying the brownie recipe she shared with us. Dreamy stay, wonderful trip. We will be back. Highly recommend!

Great stay! Even though it was rainy the first half of our stay it was still an incredibly peaceful and cosy place to be. Everything was as described and we were close to walks/bays/supermarket and had everything we needed. Outdoor shower is a highlight for sure! Definitely coming back
