Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Came down for two nights and it was so peaceful and charming that we stayed for three. Juliet was really helpful throughout, the well stocked kitchen was a pleasant suprise and made the stay a dream, and waking up in that beautiful secluded little space with the birds singing was such a welcome break from out London home. The whole space felt very private and you can really relax there. It's not the easiest place to find, but Juliet's instructions were very helpful. We will definitely stay again if we're around the area Thanks Juliet!

Very cosy secluded shepherds hut with a stunning view over the valley. The hot tub takes a few hours to warm up which is to be expected, but once warm it's absolutely perfect to relax in for the evening. While small, the shepards hut has everything you need for a quiet weekend away and the bed is warm and comfortable. Local towns are a twenty minute drive away so close enough to find somewhere for food or supplies, but you're in the sticks enough that we didn't see anyone other than the farmer on the other side of the valley.

The most stunning stay at Ross and Becky’s property, the views and location is second to none and the facilities and comfort of the hut is beyond our expectations. We stayed as a group of four adult women and the space was more than adequate. I can’t wait to return.

This is one of the most beautiful, idylic places I have stayed in. The incredible views, the privacy, and the beautiful cabin itself were all perfect. Lucy is such a lovely host, and you can tell the care and thought involved in making the stay special, from the little treats and prosecco on arrival, to the welcome message and the fantastic communication. Everything was honestly amazing, I'd recommend Rosies Retreat to anyone and I'll absolutely be back!

The Shepherd's Hut was a very comfortable and convenient stay for our needs. The interior is very cute and the theme is applied perfectly. Nice to be on the edge of a working farm. The escapee ducks were a highlight. Communication with Mandy was easy. We would come back.

An ideally located cabin with beautiful surroundings it was so peaceful and tranquil we couldn't of asked for any more the cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped just sitting in the hot tub with a drink watching the sun set was amazing we will definatly be going back

Had an amazing few days as Diddylake, it was so charming and peaceful, would highly recommend for anyone hoping to have a peaceful getaway and disconnect from the outside world.

Exactly as advertised - beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous part of Cornwall. Spotlessly clean, nice bathroom facilities and lots of useful information about the local area thoughtfully provided by host.

A great place to stay and explore Dartmoor. The views from the hut are amazing and the hut itself is a fun experience. Simon is a delightful host and always quick to help out - Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Lovely little shepherds hut, cream tea to welcome us on arrival. Beautiful peaceful surroundings. Easy to find with clear directions and a helpful book of local walks/attractions. Hosts were friendly and communicative, would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Zena has thought of everything you could need for any eventuality. The little hut is full of anything you might possibly need. Was spotlessly clean. Zena messaged before giving clear directions and we found with no issues. Lovely grounds to walk around. Pictures don’t do it justice. Highly recommend. We will definitely visit again for longer. Such a great place. The hut is well equipped and very cosy, especially with the fire lit on a damp evening. The views are incredible. The donkey sanctuary next door was an added bonus. Surrounded by nature, we left feeling refreshed and happy. Thank you. We will be back.

Had an absolutely lovely two nights at the shepherds hut. The location is very private and peaceful, and the hut is surprisingly spacious and modern. Really gorgeous place to stay. Hopefully will come and stay again in the future!

Loved our stay in the shepherd’s hut. It’s cosy and had everything we needed! The interior has been finished to a high standard and is all kept pristine. Highly recommend staying here, my family and I are hoping to be back in the future.

Had a really nice stay, felt at home straight away and host Anneli was very friendly and helpful :) Hut is very cozy and location is peaceful, we had a lovely BBQ in the evening and one of the best sleep in a long time! The shepherd’s hut is such a gorgeous little place to stay. It is kitted out really well and the view from the terrace is stunning. The wood burner keeps you warm and the bed is surprisingly comfortable! Will definitely be back the next time we want to go to Woods in Dulverton.

…as far as little gems go - this is such a find!

We loved our stay in the Shepherds hut. It was so cosy and well equipped. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great location within easy walking distance to town.

We had a lovely, short break at Tressa. The hut was lovely and cosy with everything we needed and was in a great location, close to the beaches and a short drive to Padstow. Andrea and Tom were very welcoming and helpful and we hope to return for another stay before long.

We absolutely loved our 4 day stay at the Little Charred Hut, the location is idyllic right in the middle of the woods, near to a babbling brook, it's completely private with no neighbours or passing traffic, just the sound of the birds! The Hut itself has everything you need, it's very cosy with an extensive verandah (with 2 comfy rocking chairs) giving a feel of more sheltered space, which was great as the weather wasn't perfect the whole time. The surrounding area is so beautiful, and an easy drive away from so many beautiful places to explore. We'd highly recommend this gorgeous little place for an intimate stay in the midst of nature.

Jen was the most fabulous and thoughtful host! The hut was beautifully decorated and Jen also included a happy birthday banner and balloons for our stay! The hut was spotless and super cosy. It was perfect for a chilled evening away and we were blessed with a sunny evening so could enjoy the tub and garden loungers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet - plus a beautiful hot chocolate machine!
