This beautiful suite in the Provost's House of the old abbey is so peaceful! The building is full of history (stone spiral staircase! huge carved chairs!) and you can't beat the location on an ISLAND! Don't miss the bakery (Jocteur le Boulanger de l'Île Barbe) located just off the island over the footbridge. Note that there is no access to the historic abbey chapel as far as we could tell. Mary was a perfect host and accommodated our very late arrival at midnight on a weekday. Follow directions and access is easy to find! We loved this historic suite.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce magnifique manoir, spacieux, lumineux et chaleureux. Son ambiance cosy le rend parfait pour accueillir du monde ou pour un séjour en famille. Malgré une vue sur des usines en face, avec de la fumée en continu et un peu de bruit, nous avons été pleinement satisfaits du standing proposé. La décoration intérieure est un savant mélange de charme ancien et de modernité, ce qui apporte beaucoup de caractère au lieu. Nous recommandons vivement ce manoir. Il serait certainement encore plus agréable en été, notamment pour profiter de la piscine. Merci encore pour cette belle expérience !

We had a fantastic stay. The location is beautiful in the middle of the Beaujolais countryside, very quiet and peaceful. We had full access to a large pool, tennis court, terrace for outdoor dining with a view. Plenty of activities for both kids & adults. The appartments were very spacious and comfortable. We took a day trip into Lyon to explore the city, explored several nearby towns and villages and otherwise just relaxed and enjoyed the facilities at the chateau. Per was very responsive to any queries we had. We would happily return!

The tower is a cute stay in a beautiful wine region. The castle itself is quit a sight and the tower gives you a sense of how it is to live in the area. Marie Benedict and her family were wonderful hosts. Flexible, cordial, we felt welcome.

Such an amazing experience!! The hosts were very friendly, the room was quirky and very tidy/clean, the grounds were gorgeous and the dogs welcomed us warmly on arrival. Highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant as the food was delicious and made our stay!

A tranquil place, beautifully and generously hosted. It was an oasis for us on a very long journey. We will remember it for a long time.
