Cozy place to stay. The host was very nice to let us check in early. Everything was great in this cabin. Room was enough warm for this cold weather. Because of the volcanic eruption last year, there are no shop n supermarket open in here. We did prepare our foods to cook during our stay so we are fine. We drove out not far away there are an area displayed the poster to show when volcano eruption in this town. It’s a good to drive around this place to understand more it happened. Very good experience for us.

Perfecte eerste verblijf van onze vakantie. Dichtbij het vliegveld, mooie locatie. Communicatie met Solveig was goed en duidelijk. Routebeschrijving is erg duidelijk. Huisje was schoon en ruim. Zeker een aanrader om te verblijven.

Prachtige cottages met de nodige voorzieningen. Een heerlijke hottub. Mooi uitzicht. Vriendelijke host

Wunderschöne Hütte, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und gemütlich eingerichtet - es ist alles da, was man braucht und Sabine als Host super nett und proaktiv. Wir haben tolle Ausflugsziele und Restaurants empfohlen bekommen und auch den von Sabine angebotenen Ausritt sehr genossen! Die Ruhe , die Isländer direkt vor der Hütte, der tolle Ausblick und die Gemütlichkeit haben uns super gefallen und wir hatten wunderschöne 4 Nächte hier. Auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung von uns! Gern würden wir auch selbst wiederkommen!!!

Very cozy stay in an appartment that breathes authenticity more than other places do. Amids the rather bland stays Reykjavik has to offer, this place looks good, has a nice colour and is located just far enough from the more busy streets. Inside is a comfy living room with an above-average sized kitchen. We stayed in low season (read: darkness) but this place lights up real nice. The attic can be a bit cold if you don’t turn on the electric heater, but to be honest that cold makes for a perfect night sleep so we left it off. Before entering the appartment there is a shared hallway, which works well for storing coats and shoes. For those with sensitive ears: perhaps stating the obvious, but I would not claim the place is 100% soundproof. There are no loud noises in the area, but your co-traveller might produce them. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Das Einchecken war ganz simpel und die Unterkunft war gut ausgestattet. Die Aussicht war ein Traum und die Betten sehr bequem.

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

The most perfect place to stay on our first stop travelling around Iceland. Excellent location close to shops, cafes, sights but also so peaceful. A beautiful home which was more spacious than I expected and with everything you could need. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay for the few nights we were there. Check in was easy and there is a lot of nice places locally, both for food and exploring. Made a great place to start as we travelled and explored the south of the island! A great place to stay!

Absolutely LOVELY tucked away spot to stay in Iceland during a solo road trip for two nights. Cozy and safe—I had a stunning view of the Northern Lights. Don’t miss walking down the street to the Red House for dinner.

We loved our stay! The area is beautiful and it was easy to get to many attractions in the Southern region. Kristine was an amazing host - so responsive and very helpful! We will definitely be visiting again someday and would stay here again as well. Thank you Kristine!

Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

We had a wonderful stay at Jónsstaðir. The cabin was lovely and warm on arrival thanks to the underfloor heating. The cabin had everything we needed for our three night stay. We were a little apprehensive about the outdoor shower but even in November this was great! It is in a wonderful location overlooking Þingvallavtn and only a 10 minute drive from þingvellir National Park and 30 mins from Reykjavik. The hosts Anna and Björn were very accommodating and helpful and answered our questions quickly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at Petur’s cabin during our honeymoon to Iceland. It was perfect and cozy with many thoughtful touches. The lake it sits on is just beautiful and we loved waking up to the view each morning. Petur’s guidebook was very thorough and helpful, and the instructions on finding the cabin were clear and easy to follow. Thank you Petur for sharing your cabin with us, it contributed to a very special trip we will never forget! (:
