Grýlusteinn is one of three cabins that we own. Nónsteinn, Grásteinn and Grýlusteinn. Our cabins are a perfect getaway place to enjoy the nature at it fullest while relaxing with a breathtaking view. Perfect for newly weds, couples or friends. Kirkjufell - Kirkjufellsfoss - Snæfellsjökull - Water cave - lava fields - black beaches - bird life - whale watching - Mountain view - northern lights - sunset , wonderful restaurants and so much more that you can experience here or near by.

Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Hraunháls, Helgafellssveit

The house is 82 m2 with two bedrooms, located at a traditional Icelandic farm. The house is between the towns Stykkishólmur (20 km) and Grundarfjörður (20 km), where you can find all facilities you need. The house has superb view over mountains, sea and lava fields. This is a perfect location to discover Snæfellsnes peninsula. From here you can visit the Shark Museum in Bjarnarhöfn, go swimming in Stykkishólmur, go sailing around Breiðarfjörður or visit the national park.

Gíslaholt 2 - Newly built lodge with mountain view

New black "old style" lodge with a beautiful mountain view. Only one hour drive from Reykjavík. Our lodge is in perfect location for exploring west Iceland, a spectacular natural wonder such as beautiful waterfalls, glaciers, lava cave and the most powerful hot spring in Europe. A quiet place to see the Northern lights during winter time (if conditions are optimal). Part of the year, depending on the season, you have animals as neighbours such as sheep and horses.

Night & Day lodge - Glass roof lodge with hot tub

This unique place has a glass roof above the bed to enjoy fully what the sky has to offer, sometimes northern lights, sun or snow. Each season brings its own adventures and each stay is special. Outside is a private garden with a large hot tub to soak in and enjoy the evening. The cottage is located in a rural summer house are, a short drive away from Hraunfossar waterfalls, Víðgelmir caves, Langjökull glacier, Krauma baths and Husafell canyon baths.

Steinholt 1 & 2 are 25 m2 cottages located on the farm Hallkelsstaðahlíð in the western part of Iceland. The cottages are located by the beautiful lake Hlíðarvatn. Steinholt cottages are an ideal accomodation for people looking to visit the western part of Iceland. Steinholt cottages are ideal for people looking for a quiet place to stay in the Icelandic countryside surrounded with a beautiful view. Mininum stay is two nights.

Sælukot Cottage

Beautiful 37m2 cottage located in the heart of Stykkishólmur, with a view of Breiðafjörður from the living room. Perfect location and a short walk to the harbor, restaurants, grocery store and community pool. Small yet spacious, the cottage is newly refurbished with wooden floors and geothermal underfloor radiant heat. Bathroom with shower, and private bedroom sleeps two. Loft above sleeps 1-2 additional guests.

Cozy house by the sea, big garden and great view.

Get close to nature at Bessastaðir. Cozy old house with warm character, big garden, many bird species around. The view is magnificent all year round, amazing sunset and sunrise. The house is close to the sea and it is very nice to take walk to there and listen to the mysterious sound of the sea and seabirds. You are also free to take walk around our land, as long as you are not walking on our hay fields.

Glaðheimar Guesthouse

Glaðheimar is located in Króksfjarðarnes a perfect location before exploring Westfjords. Back in the day Glaðheimar was an Old post office and just across the rode was the main store for farmers and people in the area which has now a Handcraft marked. The view over Breiðafjörður from the house is amazing and the sun will not set until 23 and watching the sunset is just breathtaking

Múlakot 5 Cozy Cabin, A nest with panoramic views!

A small cosy cabin surrounded by beautiful picturesque landscapes and tranquility. The cabin is well planned, cosy with a rustic touch, with a queen size bed and a (comfy) pullout couch it suits couples and small families. Great for relaxing in the countryside or as a hub while exploring West Iceland.

Kolsstaðir - Piece of Heaven

The cottage is designed in the old Icelandic country style, but with house heating, hot water, well equipped modern kitchen, dish washer and a wood burning stove. The ground floor is 35 (square m.) Upstairs there is a 20 square m. sleeping attic with one Queen Size bed.
