I don't have enough wonderful words for Thiwanka. I had an unfortunate incident, Thiwanka helped me arranged the appointment with doctor, helped me with the tuk tuk, helped me with everything! He is such a kind kind person. The location is so close to the fish market. It is a perfect place for people who love sea food 😀 I only stayed for two nights, but I would be happy to come back for longer next time! or even long stay!

Het is een magisch plekje om helemaal tot rust te komen. Je kan op avontuur in eigen tuin, we hebben meerdere prachtige foto’s kunnen maken van de wildlife wat er is. Iedere avond tijdens schemering zagen we de vleerhonden wakker worden en over ons heen vliegen. Voor liefhebbers van de schoonheid van de natuur ben je hier op de goeie plek. Het eten is fantastisch zowel ontbijt als avond eten. Ook staan er 2 leuke fietsen om de omgeving te verkennen. Niet twijfelen, boeken en genieten!

We had such a fantastic time in Muhudu Niwasa. The property is located right by the beach with a beautiful garden ladened with coconut trees. The setting was perfect for us to truly unwind and enjoy the beauty the place had to offer. The property had plenty of rooms and beds and the view from the master bedroom with it's long balcony was breath-taking. We went as a group of 7 (incl. 2 small children) and the property catered for what we all needed. Spending time in the swimming pool was a special highlight as both our 5 year old and 3 year old developed a love for swimming while we were there. We felt safe at all times with plenty of activities nearby. Most of all, a very big thank you to Pradeep and Tharakka who took care of us exceptionally well. They were courteous and available and made us feel right at home. We also went kayaking with Pradeep twice as it was such a great experience. Tharakka also took us around in his tukuk which was practical and a lot of fun.

Es war ein Traum! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und konnten uns super entspannen. Unsere drei Jungs haben den Pool genossen und die Nähe zum einsamen Strand war das besondere Highlight! Das zubereitete Frühstück war so lecker und die Leute waren sooo lieb. Dank Amith, dem sehr liebenswürdigen TukTuk Fahrer und seinen wertvollen Tipps und Empfehlungen hatten wir immer einen perfekten Aufenthalt! Vielen Dank für die unvergesslichen Tage!

The beautiful Beach House - Reef House - is located in a quiet spot in Madhia overlooking the ocean. The location is around 20 to 25 minutes drive to Mirissa beach with Welligama beach little further ahead. The location worked perfectly for us since our intention was mainly to relax and step out for short outings. While one cannot swim in the ocean in front of the house, we enjoyed the soothing sounds of waves & dips in the pool. The reef house is tastefully done, comfortable with basic amenities including good wifi. There’s a room on the ground floor which is perfect for elderly guests or anyone who might find stairs challenging. Swell cafe for coffee fix is right opposite the house. Charitha is cordial, prompt with replies & is available to answer queries. Indika is kind & took excellent care of us. Siri cooked us delicious meals. This was our first time living with pets and to be honest Gaston and Bella were a delight to have around. We had memorable stay at the Reef House.

We were so lucky to discover the Coconut Cottage as our first place to stay in Sri Lanka! Andy was an incredible host, booking us transfers from the airport, meeting us at the house on arrival, sharing a wealth of local knowledge and was super friendly and responsive during our stay. The house is only a two minute walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants of Hiri and very clean and stylish – and we all (family of four) loved the pool and back garden (and watching the monkeys swing around in the trees!). Thank you Andy and Sachira for a fab stay! Would highly recommend.

I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property for two days. The private beach was a dream, and I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to witness turtle hatchlings making their way to the ocean at night. It was truly magical. The Sri Lankan food prepared by the cook was absolutely delicious some of the best I’ve ever had! The staff were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, they also arrange a candle light dinner I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, unique getaway!

Very difficult to put into words how wonderful the villa is. Very easy to find, great welcome, kitchen well stocked. 3 big bedrooms; 2 with outside showers. The housekeepers really make the stay. They prepare breakfast each morning to be eaten outside by the pool. They will also cook dinner if required, which, frankly was the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. The pool is lovely and in shade. In fact I’d say the property and experience is better than described. 10 mins by the gardeners tuk tuk to Mirissa Beach and restaurants. Thank you!

Serdecznie polecamy to miejsce. Czyste, komfortowe, w ustronnym miejscu z daleka od hałasu. Bardzo dużo miesjca do wypoczynku w kilka osób. Na miejscu cały czas jest osoba, która pomaga w razie potrzeby. Cudowny basen. Na miejscu kuchnia do dyspozycji, w razie potrzeby także kucharz. Bardzo fajne miejsce dla osób, które cenią sobie komfort, ciekawy design i odrobinę luksusu w Azji. Nie ma klimatyzacji na miejscu, bo willa jest w otwartej formie i to może komuś przeszkadzać

10/10 Before the stay I was in contact with Bárbara who was super helpful in answering all My questions. The villa is fantastic, spacious rooms. 3 rooms have the shower outside which we thought was quite nice, kids loved it. The staff was great and always Polite. They helped us with everything we needed. Place was spotless for us every day. They also cooked great meals for us. Special mention to Sumudu the villa host, he was amazing and quick to learn what we liked (for example bringing us coffee early morning while we waited with the kids for the staff to cook breakfast) The pool was great ( just beware if you’re with kids the concrete floor outside of it was super slippery, bring rubber shoes) The house is close to Mirissa beach by car. But is a little more difficult if you’re walking down. Also- if you have toddlers- there’s a lot of staircases and the pool is open, so bear it in mind you’ll have to keep a constant eye on them. We had a big group of 11 and we had space to spare.

Hervorragend gelegen mit direktem Zugang zum wunderschönen Strand mit kleinen Bars und Restaurants. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und traumhaft großzügig. Alle Schlafzimmer mit Bad ensuite und Balkon oder Terrasse mit Blick in den Garten und zum Strand. Herrlich erholsam und ein Top -Team vor Ort. Beste Küche, jeder Wunsch wurde übererfüllt. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

We stayed in Hiriketiya for a few days in early April and had an amazing time in the area. Siri the housekeeper really made our stay, he was amazing helping us with any house questions we had as well as giving us recommendations in the area and telling us fun facts about Hiriketiya.

Unsere Familie hat einen ganzen Monat in dieser wunderbaren Airbnb-Unterkunft verbracht, und es war einfach hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der herausragende Service von Villa-Manager Suresh und seiner unermüdlichen Unterstützung durch Manel. Sie haben wirklich alles getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Villa selbst war makellos, komfortabel und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, die wir uns nur wünschen konnten. Die Lage war perfekt, um Ruhe zu genießen und gleichzeitig die Umgebung zu erkunden. Suresh und Manel waren immer zur Stelle, wenn wir Fragen hatten oder Hilfe benötigten, und ihre Freundlichkeit und Professionalität haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Sie haben uns nicht nur willkommen geheißen, sondern uns das Gefühl gegeben, zu Hause zu sein. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen und freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt.

The Box House is one of the most amazing Air BnB’s I’ve ever stayed in. In terms of design it is a unique house and the pictures capture the scale perfectly. The villa has full staffing led by the lovely Dhilan who is a great chef, concierge, butler all rolled into one. His Sri Lankan dhal, omelette, and moju are perfection! This was an RnR break for the family and Box House ticked all the boxes. The pool is HUGE and the ground lovely. Everything was on hand for us to unwind and switch off for a few days. Kasun handled all pre booking comms promptly and was very helpful. Three of the five bedrooms have their own entrance so this makes the property perfect for larger groups. I have a couple of suggestions for the hosts to elevate Box House even further. If air conditioning can be added to the main room it can increase its usability and families can have a central space to come together. Second, a small menu stating Dhilan’s specialities in Sri Lankan cuisine will be very helpful.

Our group stayed 4 nights at Simon’s house in Kalemetiya. What a treat ! we felt like movie stars with their own private beach front home. The house is large and well appointed with 4 well spaced bedrooms with en suite. The house has a large lawn from the rear leading to the beach with a pool area a children’s pool, a covered veranda and then a small wooden fence leading to the ocean. We would get our massages in the covered area, listening to the waves and also do yoga there. Dinesh and Runi took amazing care of us. Rooney cooked our breakfast and did laundry and kept the place spotless. Dinesh arranged massages, recommended restaurants drove us to Colombo. He also hosted our driver and Guide. Simon, the host was responsive and flexible. In the morning, you could walk along the beach and see the villagers fishing with their traditional boats. The beach is very clean. It is very wavy and not the best place for swimming, but you can definitely take dips. An amazing place.

We hadden een geweldige tijd in de villa van Shanthi. Een hele ruime villa, grote woonkamer met keuken, 2 slaapkamers en twee badkamers. Ook een heel groot zwembad en goede buitenzitjes op het terras en onder de parasol. Niro en Shanthi (en familie) zijn ontzettende aardige mensen, heel behulpzaam ook. We bestelden elke dag een heerlijk ontbijt en hebben ook een keer de Sri Lankan Curry besteld, gemaakt door Shanthi. Allemaal heel goed. Het is daar heel rustig, heel anders dan bijvoorbeeld Frangipani Beach. Wij hadden een scooter gehuurd zodat we de drukte op konden zoeken maar ook naar wat rustigere plekken konden rijden zoals het nabijgelegen Silent Beach of de surf beach Unakuruwa beach. Een goede tijd gehad daar! Als we weer naar Tangalle gaan, komen we daar zeker terug!!

Une villa bien placée a deux pas de l'océan, avec une belle piscine et et une grande cuisine bien équipée pour ceux qui veulent se faire du bon poisson frais acheté au marché en revenant des très belles plages autour de Tangalle... nous avons adoré notre séjour...trop court... Car notre arrivée à Mirissa ( trop touristique) nous fait déjà regretter Tangalle.... Nous aurions dû séjourner plus longtemps chez Sergey, car en plus nous avons eu un excellent accueil de Suresh et son épouse 👍 Bref, nous recommandons fortement cet endroit 🙏. Par contre, si vous voulez découvrir les alentours, il vaut mieux être motorisé ( tuk tuk ou scooter)

My two girlfriends and I had the best time at Koratuwa Villa, from the beginning to the end. The villa is beautiful, especially the garden and pool. We spent every morning with a dip and went back out in the evening to watch the stars (and fireflies!) from the loungers. The rooms were super comfortable, especially the master bedroom - the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! The hosts were so kind, friendly and super communicative. I arranged a meal for our first night which was a godsend as we were exhausted after a big day of travelling, and it was delicious. Cham was so helpful every step of the way, responding to all of our questions and arranging travels and tours to make the most of our stay. The location is perfect - it's super quiet and peaceful and away from the hustle, but you can be at Dikwella or Hiriketiya in 10m by tuktuk (which Cham can arrange for you). One of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Already planning the next visit! Thank you!!

I almost don't want to review this as I would like to keep the place a secret but that would be selfish! We couldn't recommend staying in Whispering House more. Upal and his son were incredible hosts, cooking us delicious breakfasts. The house was spacious and perfect for our 2 year old to run around in, and the pool was great and a safe distance away. The location was perfect for us, restaurants close by but also quite quiet. Beautiful beaches along the coast too made for great day trips. upal sorted us out with everything we needed including a lovely lady who came and cooked for us and helped look after our child in the afternoon. Really couldn't recommend this more if you are looking for a family holiday in a stunning location with lovely lovely people.

Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders schön ist der Pool – eine kleine Oase zum Abschalten. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Praktisch: Direkt gegenüber gibt es einen kleinen Laden. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

The two bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the private pool was absolutely perfect for relaxing throughout the day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible hospitality. The owners were so kind and welcoming – from the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home and were always happy to help with recommendations or anything we needed. The caretaker was also lovely and made sure everything was running smoothly throughout our stay. The location is ideal – tucked away in a peaceful spot, but still very close to everything. Mirissa Beach is just under 5 km away, and Madiha surf point is even closer (less than 2 km). There are also plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby, which made everything super convenient. Overall, this villa was a little slice of paradise. Whether you're looking to explore the south coast.
