This family home is within two miles of the medieval village of Carlingford and the home of some of the finest restaurants and bars on the North East coast. Enjoy the excellent quality food and service with the famous locally grown Carlingford oysters washed down with locally brewed beers. Take the local fifteen minute ferry ride and you will arrive at the Royal County Down golf club. Should you prefer things to be a little less hectic , take one of the many hiking trails just outside your back door, or retire to the sun room to read and relax. Alternatively , just meander through the beautifully matured Ros Cottage garden all lovingly planted by the owner. This is a very unique and beautiful home with an abundance of character. It is extremely well appointed with full open plan kitchen, dining room, sun room , utility room and three bedrooms. This recently renovated stone cottage is cosy and inviting especially with the sun shining on the patio or the stove lit inside. The exposed stone walls, limestone hearth and deep blue painted walls are just some of the features of this beautiful cottage. Across the courtyard is Bartholomew's Loft (go to Airbnb Bartholomewsloft), an upside down space, another fabulous place to stay in the heart of The Boyne Valley.

The cabin is situated at our home and small self funded vegan/vegetarian sanctuary on a hill, nestled in its own small wild nature garden and developing food forest of fruit, nuts and wild edibles. We have developed our whole site into a track system or otherwise known as Paradise paddock. Meet some of our rescue animals. Sit by the campfire and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. It's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Irish Midlands and surrounding counties.

The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an small adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

Killucan is c 15 minutes drive from Mullingar and c 45 minutes drive from Dublin.
