Built mainly from wood sourced from the surrounding forest, this private paradise is conveniently located within 5 Kms of all Quadra Island amenities. The tranquil landscape includes big trees, perennial flower and vegetable gardens, an expansive lawn that is great for an afternoon bocce session, and many private areas to escape with a glass of wine. A separate office and a new wood fired sauna is also available for guests!

The peace of the forest is rejuvenating and the outdoor bath tub for two a great joy. It’s tucked away in a small grove of towering Cedar and Fir trees, but in the heart of uptown Mansons Landing with stores and a bakery cafe just steps away. It is ten min. walk to swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking at kid-friendly Sandy Beach, or a 15 min. walk down to an ocean beach and Mansons Lagoon. Friday Market and Cortes Museum are a short stroll away.

Basecamp Chalet gives guests the opportunity to gaze over Strathcona Park, watch the sunrises, sunsets, and moonscapes, and have a the perfect spot to experience storm watching and the snow flakes fall. Walking and hiking trails right outside the front door. A perfect getaway in any season. You will be renting the upper main two floors of the chalet.
