This place is AMAZING. I rented a yurt for a couple of nights and I had a unique glamping experience. I went with my dog and we both have a great time. The yurts have everything you need to feel comfortable while surrounded by the forest. Although the place might seem a bit pricey for a glamping experience you should consider that you also have access to all the ranch´s amenities: a fantastic yoga room, a super comfortable library, and a pool. Moreover, you can request breakfast and other meals there, which I highly recommend. I also recommend visiting the Buddhist stupa at the top of the mountain. It's a 45-50 minute hike and it's totally worth it. For access to the property, you should consider an SUV; the offroad part of the route is actually better than some other offroad paths I´ve been in Mexico but it's quite long. Also, there are two entrances, both accessible from the cobbled street but Google only shows one of them. In any case, there are signs along the road you can follow.

Awesome stay! A great little spot that's like camping but still has lots of amenities. Well worth it over a hotel room or condo.

Id like to say thank you to Ellen for hosting us, The little John Yurt was an amazing stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice cozy little spot with everything one needs, while there is not electricity on site there is a gas powered lantern which worked wonderfully, the wood stove kept us tosty at night & the cook stove did its job making us coffee in the morning. Increadibly peaceful surroundings with amazing views. The walk in is about 1.25 miles along a nicely graded logging road, I think most anyone could easily make the walk, even children. To sum it up, we enjoyed our stay and I the wife and I will be back next time were in town. Thanks, Ellen!

Ana's place was perfect for our weekend getaway with kids. The yurt is in an amazing setting in the middle of the woods and it was a bonus to be able to use the communal areas in the main house and garden - the trampoline and swimming pool were big hits in particular. Breakfast was delicious and Ana and her staff were always very attentive. I can't recommend staying here enough!

Fantastic yurt that is tucked away at the end of a trail system. Beautiful views of Wheeler are just a few steps away. As mentioned in other reviews, both yurt and toilet are very well maintained and clean. Will be staying again

I absolutely loved this sweet sanctuary of a space! Literally walking distance to everything. The bathroom is shared and was SO clean. Loved having the sauna there, the hammock, and a space for morning meditation. Everyone else who was staying there was so friendly, also. Felt like a sweet little community! Can't wait to come back.

It was quite the experience. We really enjoyed ourselves. The land was beautiful. I would recommend the experience. Our host was really nice and welcoming.

We came here for my birthday and loved it! The hot tub was nice to hangout in at night. The trail was beautiful, the scenery all around was beautiful. 😍 Very peaceful. We also enjoyed hanging out on the deck and drinking coffee. Will definitely return and recommend!

Wow. This was an amazing experience. It was our first yurt stay and I think I can say that we are hooked! It was a combination of luxury and rustic and Kimberley made it just so above and beyond special. We were only there one night to see the infamous Marfa lights and it was so special and fun. We got the champagne and smores package which really made our long trip to Alpine totally worth it. The bed was super comfy- and the bathtub was a wonderful treat to soak in after a 10 hour drive! We had the impression it was more isolated, but was actually in a group of small Air Bnbs, which actually felt nice. We liked being around other people, although it was quiet and private feeling. The yurt is back in a neighborhood, backed up against a natural environment and views. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for having us.

Wonderful, responsive, and accommodating hosts! The property was absolutely GORGEOUS, and the yurt itself was spotless. Beautifully kept, and the decor was lovely. The color scheme inside was bright, warm, and inviting. Doors at opposite sides of the yurt allowed for a wonderful cross-breeze on cool mornings. Tons of natural light. AC worked really well when it started getting too warm for the doors to be open. The wrap-around deck was such a wonderful addition! Enjoyed spending time on the back deck, where string lights in the oaks that the deck was built around lit up the night in a whimsical display. There were bluebonnets blooming all over, which was a fantastic surprise. Thank you for allowing me to check in early, and for providing such a delightful stay! I look forward to staying with you again!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this peaceful setting, surrounded by nature! It was close to good restaurants and wineries. Would definitely stay at Lucky Arrow Retreat again.

Yurta with everything you need for a pleasant stay in the mountains. We slept amazingly, the bed is very comfortable and the bed linen of very good quality, pure cotton. Thank you for that. Well located. Pamela had many beautiful details that made the difference. Fresh eggs, delicious brownies and responded quickly. We will stay again without a doubt! Thank you Pamela!

nice little place as described, sadly cold weather did not help us to be outside but the place is as pictures and my family enjoy de moment there. yes if we have another opportunity we will back

Amazing tranquility. This place is a must stay if you need some R&R. The river, the walking pad absolutely breathtaking. The yurt itself was phenomenal. What a great set up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back. Stephanie was quick to respond to any questions we had.

My husband and I booked the Yurt for the weekend of our 3 year wedding anniversary. We brought our dog and there was ample space for her to wander while we were there. The weather did not work in our favor to stargaze but we were able to sleep under moonlight that was so romantic and peaceful. My husband even made the comment if he had an air fryer he could totally live there lol! The Yurt is so quaint and cozy, the bathroom is a good size and was very clean. The decor was minimal which was so nice, they were kind enough to provide some Kcups, doggy bags & waters as well as ear plugs and eye masks! We very much enjoyed our stay and are willing to book here again in the future! The mini fridge was clean, the hosts were kind enough to provide a binder with any info we may have needed and were super responsive to our messages!! We got lucky to be the only couple booked for most of the weekend so it was nice and quiet!!! It was amazing to see deer in the mornings when we woke up 🙂

The communication with host is easy and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay in this unique yurt. We hope we could come back and explore the surrounding more next time!

Jeanne and Clyde were welcoming upon our arrival. They gave us the lay of the land and a quick informative run down on how everything worked. The Yurt was beautiful and the grounds were private and peaceful. We walked the nature trail on the property which had a beautiful overlook on Huckleberry Hill. We took in a local comedy show and explored the historic downtown. We drove the scenic route at Bastrop State Park it was serene and beautiful. Austin is about a 45 minute drive which was nice. The Reserve had a nice pavilion with games, a fire pit, outside accommodations like restrooms, overlook, hot tub, kitchen area, grills, etc. The entire property is very well thought out. We enjoyed our little getaway. Thank you guys! We would love to come back.

Remote getaway of the best kind. My boyfriend and I went for just one night, and wished it would have been much more. The yurt is huge, everything is so clean, the hot tub heats up within 20 mins super hot, and it feels very isolated. Great quiet heater/AC in the yurt. Prosecco in the fridge & coffee for the morning. We had the best time. Oh and the bed - I'm not sure how they make it so comfy but it's a dream! Thank you for the best time!

Loved everything about it! The host was absolutely wonderful and the staff were super sweet, both were very helpful. The yurt was so cool to stay in and we may even be getting one of our own! Great places to go eat at around the area, trails to go hiking on weren't too far either and the scenery was beautiful, so happy we got to go see the caverns too! Definitely will be making our way back there. A big, big thank you to the host and the staff again and we have already been recommended this place to others!

My husband and I had a project meeting in Bandera and decided to locate a neat Airbnb for a two night stay. These yurts popped up and looked super cute so I booked the Peacock. Wow, we were super happy with the entire property! Everything was just perfect! The yurt was super cozy, clean, comfortable and had everything you could need. It’s located a very short walk to the Medina River and the River is absolutely gorgeous. Every evening and morning deer feed in the center of the property. The grounds are well maintained and very pleasant. The entire place is so well thought out and organized. AND each yurt has its own little hot tub, swing chairs, private deck and grill cooking area with chairs. I only wished we could stay all week. Next time we want to book the larger yurt with bathtub. Can’t wait to come back!!! Great job on planning this property! I can’t think of a thing you could do to make it better. It’s fantastic!!!! 🙂❤️🕺🏻
