I can't wait to return. The serene farm stay was perfect for a family break from the city's hustle and bustle. There was a sprawling lawn for the kids to enjoy themselves, and the crate of bats/balls, etc., was put to good use. It is eye-opening to see what the city kids are missing. The hike to the river was amazing, and not once did the kids have a chance to even think of saying they were tired, as nature kept them guessing around every corner. Linda was amazing from the initial communication post-booking until after checkout. Genuine farm hospitality!

Great cottage in a great location. We visited in winter and the wood burning oven warms up the entire house. Great bedrooms, comfy and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to be self sufficient. The deck looks out over a fantastic magic garden. The garden has all sorts of hidden corners that must be explored. We picked our dinner veggies, grape fruits, oranges and lemons - there is loads more. If we could give this place 6 out of 5 we would have. Loved it

What a magical place! Linda is the most accommodating and tentative host we’ve ever had!! It is the perfect place for a family and truly an amazing spot for complete R&R. From the walks around the farm, swimming in the rockpools, the jungle gym, feeding the calves and the recommendation to see the 800+year old tree! What an amazing experience! Wish we had stayed much longer than 2 nights! We will definitely be back for a longer visit!

Greg & Sam, are amazing hosts. They let me know which dirt roads are the best for travel and kept me up to date with information about the area. As a keen hiker, I was invited to hike with them in Rooiberg Mountains and experience its pristine beauty, which is food of the soul. Thank you for the generosity of sharing veggies from your garden, and gift of staying at the Happy Place!

The property is beautifully restored and stylishly decorated, offering a perfect blend of charm and comfort. The swimming pool and air conditioning in both rooms were exceptional, providing much-needed relief from the Karoo heat. The lush green grass and inviting braai area added to the overall appeal. The kitchen, though basic, was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the hotel and nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning. The adorable dogs were a delightful bonus!

Quite tranquil place, perfect for a quiet holiday away from the city. Exactly as advertised and very clean. The host went out of her way to make the stay even more pleasant with amazing local recommendations. Has a few activities to keep young kids occupied. Would definitely recommend!

We loved the location and the facilities offered by the Chenin Blanc cottage which was very spacious. Although it was very hot we managed early morning walks to both the beautiful dams. The wonderfully sweet desert grapes provided by Philip were a real added bonus. Louisa and Philip are very thoughtful hosts who made us feel most welcome.

'Adam se Huisie' is a wonderful place where you can truly unwind. The setting is fantastic with the wind blowing through the poplar trees, birds singing, the Nels River right there, and the quiet valley that surrounds you. You can go for endless walks, there is a micro-brewery within walking distance, or you can spend your time in the quiet pool. The pictures of 'Adam se Huisie' are a good reflection of what you can expect. There is a fireplace inside, as well as a little Weber braai if you want to braai outside. The drive along the dirt road that leads to and past 'Adam se Huisie' is also worth exploring. The lanterns create a wonderful atmosphere in the evening. Although there is no electricity, there is a fridge with a little freezer section as well. Gerrit, the host, is very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Personally, we look forward to spending time there again.

Our team had a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb! The space was perfect for our group – comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location. The host was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.

A very special part of the Karoo. A quiet little hamlet of units scattered on an organic focused farm with vast expanses of Karoo for those long walks but a lovely “old French farm garden” feel when you walk the gardens, and groves. A small group of sanctuary animals roam about which adds to the love and care you feel up there. Just good people doing kind good things. What a pleasure as well to meet Louise and Ricky.

Centrally located, well equipped self-catering. A number of small touches make it feel more like you are in a guest house. Excellent value for money, and pet friendly, too!

The cottage was a gem in George. It was beautiful and clean and Willem was so helpful throughout our stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in George

We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and aesthetically nourishing stay. The moment we arrived in Prince Albert, we felt a sense of peace. The town is a gem, with exceptionally friendly people and a pace that invites you to breathe a little deeper. Caitlin is an exceptional host. Self check in was smooth and we got all the recommendations we needed from her. What was meant to be a one-night stay quickly became two… and then three. The space held us so gently we just didn’t want to leave. There were fresh farm milk coffee and rusks for us which made us feel even more at home and we could feel the love poured into the small details in every corner of the cottage. We left feeling rested, inspired, and full of gratitude. Highly, highly recommended. We’ll absolutely be back.

Cindy's Place was excellent value for money and an authentic "Karoo experience", complete with veranda and divans outside for enjoying the quiet Karoo evenings. It's a complex of three cottages - mine was the smallest - all spotlessly clean inside and out, with a firm bed that had enough warm blankets and an electric blanket. Thanks to Samson the groundsman and good security I felt very safe. Barend, the gardener of many years, keeps his hand on the amazing rockeries, trees, paved areas and well-appointed braai areas -- a pleasure to watch. The popular Book Club coffee shop is a stone's throw across the road and "Merweville Mall" general dealer a trip down nostalgia lane for those who grew up in the country. Highly recommended.

We really loved our stay at Susie's beautiful house. The view from the house and plunge pool is amazing, and the house itself is well thought out and furnished. I especially loved having an outside shower as the sun was setting!
