Beautiful, clean cabin. The town is in such a beautiful spot we were sad we had to get back on the road and couldn’t explore more. The fence is really only the back and one side. The whole front and other side are open. We did have a neighbor dog show up to investigate where our dogs had peed. He did leave when we told him to go home. Just be aware if you have reactive dogs. Overall we had a fantastic stay!

We were road weary and ready to do some relaxing. We drove up and our family was pleasantly surprised at our accommodations. Patti has a well stocked home and there is thoughtfulness and care it seems setting up their guests for a comfortable experience at her place. Farm fresh eggs? Snacks? Beverages?Above and beyond, beds were comfortable as were the couches, and we were bordering exhaustion from all the activities in the area, so it was nice to have a comfortable home base. Thank you again for everything.

Very comfortable place. Great spot for star gazing with very low ambient light in the area. Nice porches with plenty of furniture—both front and back porch. Very quiet at night. Great river views. Really enjoyed our 3 night stay while traveling to/from the various John Day Fossil Bed sites.

We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time to spend at the cabin. It was very quiet and comfortable with a perfect temperature, even though it got down into the 30s overnight. The Malheur National Forest is only a short drive away, and we also were able to get up to the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest on our last full day. Would love to stay there again!

We had such a nice stay at Rhonda's place! Will definitely be coming back!

Enjoyed the stay. Cabin has a lot of character. It was very comfortable and quiet. Would rent it again.

We had another great stay here & everything was in order just as it has been in previous years. We look forward to returning next year.

This is the second time we had the Pleasure of Staying at the Rental. The house is perfect and very clean. The kitchen has everything to cook with. I enjoy the front porch and we are looking forward to our May 2026 Trip! Thank you Cynthia and Crew for another Fantastic stay!!

Wow! What a perfect spot to unwind and relax. I loved being able to walk outside the door and enjoy the VIEWS! I was visiting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life in Salem and this place did just that! Jessica was a great host and I will absolutely book again for my next getaway. My ONLY complaint was not getting to snuggle Dottie & Tater before I left 😉
