A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

Cesars place is a great find! The little house is very well thought through, with very modern touches to an eco home. The balcony area has an amazing view with the river running right below. The location is great, being only 5 minutes drive to the centre of guimaraes but also being in a more rural area with nice forested views. Cesar is a wonderful host and provided a delicious organic breakfast - including yogurts, granola, eggs, bread and fruit. Very recommended.

Liliana’s home is perfect for a family holiday. We had mixed age groups and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom is good for older generation with easy access. We were by the beach for walks and nearby was a cafe and restaurant for evening meals and morning coffees and cakes. We got Ubers into Porto which were very easy to get and reasonably priced. You can have busy days in Porto and quieter evenings in the house in Gaia which suited us perfectly. Liliana was a fantastic host who organised a cab for us from the airport. Any questions we had she provided quick answers and helpful tips. I would definitely recommend the house and host. Just for info - We took a bus tour in Porto for 48 hours would take the bus to the point closest to the house and grab an Uber from there which worked out cheaper.

This is a beautiful airbnb. It was difficult to get to but worth the drive. It was very quiet and the view was incredible. There were nearby parks across the river which were impressive and Porto is only about 1 hr away.

The place has a very nice view on Porto and the Douro. Highly recommend to anyone coming to Porto. Parking space is included and very easy to use.

Quinta espetacular. Todos os espaços eram cómodos, desde os quartos à sala e cozinha, como também o espaço de lazer fora de casa. Super arrumada, com vistas incríveis para as margens do Rio Douro. Boas áreas de convívio para se disfrutar com a família ou amigos. Anfitrião sempre prestável e em comunicação sobre alguma dúvida de restaurantes nos arredores. Quinta com direito a pão e a bolos fresquinhos logo pela manhã, pois a padeira vai à quinta entregar.

We loved our hosts. We loved the boat. Very clean and comfy. We had the host take us up river in a 4 hour tour that was wonderful. We made the mistake of thinking that the boat was docked in a larger town, closer to the wine country with restaurants and things we could walk to from the boat. It was very isolated in a small quiet town. If your looking for that you will love it .

Ich war mit meiner Freundin eine Woche in der Unterkunft. Die Anfahrt war etwas tückisch, welches allerdings größtenteils an dem anfangs sehr schlechten Wetter lag, aber der Weg zum Airbnb ist sehr schmal. Wir hatten zum Glück ein kleines Auto, weshalb es gepasst hat. Der Check-In hat sehr gut geklappt und wir kamen flexibel in unsere Unterkunft. Sehr süß und kuschelig eingerichtet, wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Es gab Schwierigkeiten mit dem Whirpool, woraufhin die Gastgeber uns zeitnah und freundlich entgegen gekommen sind um das Problem zu lösen. Abschließend gesagt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Um espaço no meio da natureza muito especial. O rio mesmo perto e a zona envolvente eram muito bonitas. O alojamento correspondeu às expectativas e a comunicação com a Carla foi sempre muito boa. Recomendamos a visita a família que adorem o espaço ao ar livre.
