He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

A relaxing ferry trip from West Seattle or Fast Ferry from downtown Seattle brings you to your own private walk in cottage, right on the edge of the water. Watch the ferries go by and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, BBQing, a forest hiking trail with sea and mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Enjoy the wrap around porch and two balconies over looking Port Gamble Bay (part of Puget Sound) In the evenings enjoy beautiful sunsets over the forest on the other side of the bay and in the morning fall in love with the fog that clings to the trees across the water. The space is a standalone unit detached from our main house tucked off the main street, nestled amongst the cedars and firs along Mud Bay connecting to Puget Sound. The room has a full 270 degree view on the gardens and trees, queen size murphy bed, fridge, sink, microwave, wood stove and bathroom, complete with 16" outdoor rain shower.
