Our renovated 1910 farmhouse situated in the peaceful neighborhood of South Bar, about 10 minutes north of downtown Sydney, is sure to soothe the soul. Enjoy walks along the rocky beach, pick berries on the land or just unwind on the deck watching the sunset. The recently built lookout point at the water's edge provides views of Sydney harbor and North Sydney with sunsets that you won't soon forget. Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Sydney, this is a great home base to explore Cape Breton.

Experience the unique outdoor rainfall shower, explore the lake with provided kayaks, hike the private trail to a water cascade & finish the day unwinding under the stars while having a lakeside bonfire! Our cozy guest house is located along the Point Edward Highway, but don't let the name of our street discourage you from staying. It is a lovely, quiet, rural setting, along the shores of Sydney Harbour. Very centrally located between the city of Sydney and surrounding towns. The view is calming, and can be enjoyed on the covered front deck. Be sure to catch one of the stunning sunsets during your stay!

Woodsy Cabin on the Bras d'Or

Beautiful, rustic cabin sits cozily surrounded by woodlands. This one room retreat boasts a south west vista of the Bras d'Or Lake, includes a veranda with gorgeous sunsets, king size bed and access to the beach. It is half way between Baddeck and Sydney and a perfect spot for anyone travelling the Cabot Trail. Firewood provided for fire pit if the burn ban is not in effect.
