Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

Ideally placed within the central belt to visit many of its attractions and 11 miles from Edinburgh airport. A welcome breakfast pack included.

It is the perfect location to enjoy outdoor pursuits or explore Edinburgh & central Scotland, with most major attractions less than an hour away. 2 Nights minimum stay. Sorry no pets.

Compact, warm, cosy house in a quiet residential area overlooking a small park. The house is simply and stylishly furnished. There is a small garden where you can enjoy eating out in warmer weather. In spring and summer the garden is filled with herbs and flowers. You'll usually find a few books in the hall and you're welcome to take any you like the look of. The pet friendly (two maximum), self contained unit is a detached annexe, internal dimensions are 6m x 4m. Set amidst beautifully Japanese gardens, it has modern amenities having been completed in May 2022. The guest house is ideally located in Central Scotland with motorway access to all areas North, South, East and West, 5 minutes drive from the location. The railway station at Falkirk High with a journey time of 20 minutes to both Glasgow and Edinburgh is a 10 minute drive.

Riverbank

Our "Newly" refurbished house has an outdoor raised balcony with seating providing stunning views overlooking the River Teith. We have a fully fitted kitchen, open plan living area with two sofas, a double bedroom and lovely shower room and to the rear is a garage. It makes a cosy and relaxing hub suitable for a short break or longer holiday and is in a peaceful central location only a two minute walk from the towns Main Street with its variety of bars, shops and restaurants.

Ancient Castle above the River Tweed

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

The Steading at Pitmeadow Farm

Pitmeadow Farm is situated in quiet countryside with lovely views. We are a small family run farm with pigs, ponies, sheep & chickens. The Steading forms part of our farm courtyard along with the farmhouse and our other holiday property (The Studio). Dunning (1 mile away) is a charming village with an excellent pub, local shop, golf course, tennis courts and a wide variety of walks. Ideal for exploring Scotland, visiting local attractions or just relaxing and recharging.
