Katrina is a wonderful landlord who prepared plenty of drinks and bread for us, making it feel very homey! It's just a half-hour bus ride from the city center, and there's a supermarket right across the street, making the location very convenient. Thank you, Katrina! If I have the chance to visit Edinburgh again, I would definitely consider staying here!

We had a great stay at Sally’s. She was very welcoming and explained everything on arrival. We were then free to enjoy the accommodation in the knowledge that Sally was close by if needed. We enjoyed our trip to North Berwick would be very happy to come back in the future

We loved staying here, very easy entry but was down stairs in the cellar so was a tad slippy and dark. The room was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures. Smelt amazing when you walked in and everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy and cozy, very nice and warm room perfect for December in Edinburgh! Bathroom was perfect too and we even had a little side room for our bag and coats off our bedroom which was nice to have things out the way. Great location next to the park and a very easy walk to town/ train station and bus links. Would 100% recommend this place to stay.

This location was incredibly convenient for public transport, with a bus stop right outside the entrance. There were plenty of local supermarkets nearby and the surroundings were lovely. The host( Catherine) was exceptionally kind and always ready to help. The room was spotless and well-equipped—even an EU-UK adapter was provided. Breakfast was great as well. I highly recommend this wonderful Airbnb to everyone ^_^

The perfect little cottage within walking distance to everything! And John was the perfect host! His entire family worked as a team to insure our stay was amazing. They communicated well, always had great recommendations, and provided everything we could possibly need. This cottage is so close to EVERYTHING! I can’t stress this enough. There’s a GREAT restaurant, quaint little shops, a bakery, a convenience store, local attractions, etc. literally across the street. And I’ll add, while the cottage is central to everything, just off the main road, it’s sooooo quiet. You can’t go wrong booking John’s place!

Lovely little spot — and a solid breakfast to start your day of adventure! We were in a room with four beds — fairly tight space, but convenient. Harry was a very warm host and the location was perfect for our trip from Edinburgh to Inverness.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two-week stay. Jennet was the consummate host: Friendly and attentive, with breakfast in the morning. Beautiful flat within easy walking distance of downtown Edinburgh. Thornton Castle is simply one of the most magical places we have ever visited. We literally stayed in the tower of a medieval castle, which has belonged to the family for generations. Griselda is the most charming host imaginable. She took us to the ramparts to view the beautiful gardens and grounds and made us a sumptuous breakfast. Google Maps took us down country lanes, right to the house. The countryside around is beautiful and Thornton is a perfect place to visit the seashore and the many historic monuments in the area.

We spent an absolutely lovely night at Katrina’s place. The area is incredibly peaceful, bird song and water sounds being the only real noise. We had an amazing bath in the jacuzzi style bath and just had a lovely night there. Thank you Katrina

We truly enjoyed staying here at the farm. Sheila was there to great us right when we pulled up and made checking in very simple. The property was gorgeous. The actual house was very spacious and she had breakfast and snacks available. We loved hearing all the animals on the farm (cows and sheep). It’s a little further out from town but private and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to get a traditional Scottish experience. Thank you Sheila!

Absolutely perfect one night stay. Everything was sparkling clean and I felt so comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious; the breakfast room overlooks the yard and is a very tranquil spot.

Le séjour auprès d’Eléonore et de Grant a été un vrai cadeau! Leur maison est juste magnifique, d’un grand confort, un intérieur d’une grande propreté, une décoration très soigné et on s’y sens pleinement accueilli. La nature est très présente, ce qui est pleinement ressourçant. En quelques minutes, vous êtes à Inverness. Le lieu est idéal pour découvrir également black isle, les Fairy Glen, les clanvas, culloden battefiel (lieu de recueil)…Eleonore est adorable et elle a pris le temps de nous conseiller sur tous nos déplacements et lieux à visiter. Un vrai bonheur! Le petit déjeuner est fait de surprises (je vous invite à les découvrir lors de votre visite 😉), il est très copieux! Eleonore nous a fait découvrir des petites traditions culinaires chaque matin ! Nous aurons plaisir à revenir en leur demeure et surtout, nous aurons plaisir à les revoir! Nous avons été parfaitement accueilli, on tient à remercier chaleureusement nos hôtes. De beaux échanges comme on les aime. Le logement est top, super quartier à 15 min de l aéroport... vraiment un excellent choix de venir ici. Nous recommandons très fortement ce logement et un grand merci pour votre hospitalité

Susan and Derry are legends! If we could give them and their beautiful mountain view home 10 stars, we would! Their warmth and grace went above and beyond even the best Scottish hospitality, which says a lot. The homemade Scottish breakfasts were to die for. The room and the bed especially were so comfortable and truly every detail was considered in making our stay perfect. We cant wait to visit again!

We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

Joyce, Alan and their animals (ponies, goats, chicken and dogs) were the highlight of our three-week trip through Scotland. Breakfast was perfect, the view was simply breathtaking, indeed as spectacular as promised. After staying with this lovely amicable couple for three nights we literally didn’t want to leave. They were great hosts, and we are very thankful that they not only shared their knowledge about their country with us but also their personal stories.

We had a great stay with Chris! The location was ideal…only a ~7min walk to the bridge and access to restaurants and other city offerings. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with yummy snacks (& even a little whiskey!). Chris definitely knows how to make a delicious made-to-order breakfast! I appreciated his communication l, not just during our stay but even before our arrival, making some great suggestions of places to see along our drive to Inverness. Chris is a wonderful host…we enjoyed chatting with him each day!

Another wonderful stay at South Kinaldy House with Sheila and Thomas! Sheila consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate her guests, making us feeling more like friends vs. guests. Dropping off a daughter at uni while traveling from afar can be quite tough - but staying in Sheila & Thomas’ lovely home makes things so much easier. Her friendly demeanor, beautiful home and gardens, and willingness to help us in many different ways truly sets this stay apart. Thank you Sheila & Thomas for making our stay in St. Andrews delightful yet again!

Excellent B&B! We stayed in the Balmoral room, which was very spacious, had a charming patio overlooking gorgeous pastures and mountains. The bathroom was also large and lovely! Very comfortable bedding and access to good wifi, TV, and tea cart when winding down at night. The breakfast was phenomenal! Absolutely loved the eggs benedict, the home cooking and baking was superb. Wish we stayed longer than 2 nights! Hosts were friendly and had good recommendations for local diners and activities.

Jessica’s Airbnb is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, quiet and peaceful but not far from downtown. I was able to walk everywhere. Jessica went above and beyond in helping me fix a problem with my plane reservation, gave wonderful recommendations for local sites and restaurants and was interesting and friendly to talk to. I highly recommend staying here.
