fantastic small house with tranquil and almost abandoned beach at the end of the Costa Rica, just friendly reminder, if you’re not renting the whole house owner is staying downstairs, which was not problem at all

We loved staying again! The location is perfect for us - both on the beautiful beach, and near the point. The house is set up just right to enjoy with friends with large gathering spaces, and still have some space of your own. We appreciate the care taken before arrival - the house is spotless, and has a homey feel with coffee and staples to get you started. Thank you for another terrific extended stay! We'll see you again!

The location is great, few doors down to a supermarket and few restaurants. The property is beachfront and private. It’s more worth than what I paid for. Ana is a really nice person and eager to help. I’ll be back!

This cabin was great. Super clean. Giorgio was an excellent host, attentive and ready to do anything to help us enjoy the incredible setting. The cabins may not be luxury, but are quiet, clean and spacious, with a sizable bathroom and a good bed. The communal kitchen is ok, the fridge was nice and cold. The property is incredible, huge grassy yard, so beautiful and peaceful with chaise lounges under the shade by a perfect beach with gentle waves, perfect for swimming and only a few meters from the cabins.

This place is amazing! Jamie is SUPER helpful and friendly. Check in was extremely easy and the place is BEAUTIFUL. Private entrance with gate, enclosed parking, and very lovely cleaning staff. The location is excellent, short walk down to the break and quick walk to the grocery store. Loved cooking meals in the kitchen and the AC was ice cold. Will definitely stay here again!

Excelente lugar, muy limpio, buena zona muy tranquila, hay dos lugares para comida típica las 24 horas, a 50m de la casa, Marena y Raquel fueron muy amable, el bus y los taxis pasan al frente, buena señal de Internet, y el super mercado a 80m, y con los abanicos con las ventanas abiertas fue suficiente, definitivamente lo recomiendo

Uno de los mejores Airbnb en los que nos hemos hospedado, literal vimos monos comiendo Jack Fruit en nuestro balcón, guacamayas, peques, mor mots, una reserva natural entera para explorar, a solo unos minutos de Pavones. Totalmente recomendado para los amantes de la naturaleza, quien desea desconectarse del mundo y descansar. 100 pts.

YOU MUST GO! That should certainly be the title to this review. I cannot say enough about Sarah’s beautiful space but allow me to try… From the very beginning Sarah was hands down one of the most responsive, caring + attentive hosts. She helped us plan not only our stay at her place but also helped direct our week’s great adventures (surfing, sport fishing, snorkeling, etc.) The home is welcoming + wonderful, you will not be disappointed. It’s close to everything you need but has its own private feel. My kids played in the pool + ocean all week long. We loved that the beach was only steps away. There are water toys, towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards + so many things that help make you feel right at home. Our favorite spot to eat was El Coquito, the pizza was delicious + they delivered. There are many things to do + see so we had to pick + choose but we will be back to keep exploring this sweet haven of Costa Rica. Pack your bags + DO NOT think twice. Playa Zancudo is waiting.

Paz is a special place and Roberto is a wonderful host. The floor to ceiling screens in the living room/dining room situate you right in the secondary forest. Heaven for nature loving bird nerds. If you’ve spent time on the Osa before, you know Howler monkeys wake you at 4:30am. We watched howler, spider, and squirrel monkeys from bed. The beach is a minute walk. A covered porch with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. And a small pool to cool off in (key) and watch Macaws, capuchin monkeys, hermit crabs & the waves. We bought groceries in Puerto Jimenez and cooked most of meals for the week. Kitchen has big fridge, sharp knives, and worked well for us. Marluna Lodge (5 min drive) for Taco Tuesday. Visited local surf breaks and surfed the right point break out front of Paz. Tide dependent. Roberto can help you figure it out. Roberto was very attentive, warm, and helpful. He’s created a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the world.

Una casa perfecta para viajar con niños, ya que su piscina es perfecta para que se bañen cuando la marea esta baja en la playa(rocas). Lugar idílico rodeado de monos y en frente de playa pan dulce perfecta ola para surfear con tu longboard. Mas que recomendable!volveremos!

This was our family’s 5th trip to Pavones . We like to try different places and locations . Giselle’s home was beautiful , spacious and very comfortable. We had a smaller group and it didn’t feel overwhelming as it’s a big place . Outdoor spaces were amazing , and a quick walk to essentially a private beach . (Only saw 1 person over 8 days ) a short walk to La Pina restaurant for a pizza or dinner and only 3-5 minutes from various spots near Pavones point. I will say this was perhaps the most well equipped kitchen and linens we have experienced yet . Oliver the caretaker was quite helpful and his English is fair . Overall a very positive experience. La casa está justo al frente del mar, el sonido del mar es increíble que se une con la vida silvestre, es algo increíble poder ver tantos animales y poder tomar une café frente al mar por las mañanas. La casa es toda una experiencia para poder vivir esa vida silvestre. Chicky quien cuida la propiedad es súper atento, muy amable y anuente a ayudar en lo que sea necesario. Lleve su comida y todo lo necesario porque no hay nada cercano para comprar.

If this home is available, you should definitely book it! My family and I stayed at this home for one week and enjoyed everything about it. The home is very private, safe and located on a spacious, beautifully landscaped property. The pool is a wonderful addition, especially for children. We loved the awning over the pool for shade, and sun. The outside terrace area is great for BBQing and relaxing in the hammocks. We loved the quirkiness of the home. It's an older Costa Rican home, but it has everything you need with hot water, AC, and solar panels - so even when the power went out all over Pavones we still had lights and AC. We slept very well in these beds (the room upstairs is bright, but the downstairs room is black-out). The kitchen is fully equipped, easy for cooking meals. The location was top-notch, easy to drive down to Pavones or Pilon for surfing. Last but not least, Valentine is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond. We definitely want to come back! 5 stars!

We absolutely LOVED Casa Ola! It's an incredibly comfortable and very well designed home. One of our favorites we've ever stayed in. One of the reasons we chose Casa Ola was for the kitchen and it was great! It is spacious and well-appointed with everything you need to cook for yourself or a group. If you're cooking, make sure to take advantage of Emilio with his fruit and veg truck--excellent produce at reasonable prices! As mentioned in other reviews, the water is slightly rougher than up the playa toward the village but we had no issue swimming, boogie boarding and light surfing right outside the house. We did it several times a day, every day! We will definitely be back to Zancudo and 100% will stay at Casa Ola every time. Every space--from the outdoor patio to the upstairs sitting area to the screened in hammock area and the lovely covered gazebo to watch the sunsets--is magical. Susan was a perfect host, very responsive, accommodating and kind with a wealth of knowledge.

This place is truly special, a beautiful Airbnb nestled in nature, offering peace and tranquility. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Jenn is an outstanding host who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. She provided excellent recommendations and went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in the area, and we genuinely hope to return soon!

Jose es un excelente anfitrión y su alojamiento también es excelente. Sobre todo nos encantaron las habitaciones y la ubicación inmejorable ya que es prácticamente enfrente de la playa. Todo muy bien.

Gilles place is magical. I loved every minute of my month long stay there and was incredibly sad to leave. The views are incredible and the wildlife is abundant I don’t surf but the beaches here are delightful for long walks and I really enjoyed taking dips in the cool river and floating in the tide pools. I loved the daily workout of climbing the steep hill but if you are not very fit you’d be wise to rent a 4x4 or an ATV to get around during your stay. Lastly, Gilles presence on the property was an added bonus! He has lived in the area for a long time and offers great suggestions. He is very respectful of your space / privacy but quick to respond to questions and consistently jovial if you happen to see him outside. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing host and amazing property ! We had such an incredible time staying here. The wildlife, the sound of the waves, and the walkability to the beach and to Martina’s restaurant were so great. We will definitely be back and highly recommend booking this home!

La gentilezza e la disponibilità di Denise e del suo compagno sono solo l'introduzione a un luogo di una bellezza unica, costruito con cura, attenzione ai dettagli, raffinatezza e molto buon gusto. L'unico dispiacere è stato fermarsi solo tre giorni. Altamente raccomandato.

La ubicación es muy buena, muy cerca de la playa por un sendero. Vimos lapas, tucanes, monos, colibríes y muchos otros pájaros. El lugar es muy tranquilo, ideal para descansar. Hay varios supermercados y restaurantes cerca.

Wow, what a gem of a place...hard to put into words what a special spot this is but equally how wonderful Rusty the host was! we LOVED the location, steps to the iconic pavones wave. dolphins playing in front of us our first morning, colourful birds everywhere.... it's absolutely huge, spotless, an amazing King bed, comfy as anything. wonderfully stocked kitchen, enormous fridge, great bathroom and an awesome porch to hang on. and rusty! this to me is the true original Airbnb experience. staying with a local, who shares their home with you, making a unique experience. thanks for all our tips, your sensai recommendations on the surf, your flexibility, and your help. we absolutely loved it and will be back!
