We have plenty of walking trails, or for the horse lovers we have three fenced pastures. Nelson Farms Bunkhouse

You’ll have plenty to enjoy country living at its best at this historic place in a picturesque setting. This is a 470 acre working Beef Cattle farm that is centered in the Golden Triangle of Louisville, Lexington and Cincinnati, one hour from each. We have 3 hook ups for campers and plenty of space for vehicles including horse trailers. Our Bunkhouse is on the Bourbon Trail with 6 distilleries within 25 miles. Enjoy hiking and exploring by day and quiet evenings at night by the firepit.

ERF is 18mi to the Ark, 6.5 mi to Elk Creek Vineyards, 20mi to Buffalo Trace, 18mi to Williamstown, 28mi to Georgetown, & 44mi to Creation Museum.

Located about 20 minutes from the Ark Encounter, our Gopher Wood Getaway cabin offers a rustic and picturesque place for families to stay near the Ark. Our cabin has heating, AC and electric over looking 84 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass. NOTE: Our cabins are truly a GETAWAY as we do NOT have any wi-fi or TV in them. The house is on a hobby farm with cows and horses that we ask visitors not to feed. There is a pull out couch that makes a full size bed as well. It is located in central Ky with easy access to Cincy, Lexington, Louisville, Frankfort,Georgetown etc…This is in a country setting which is very quiet and peaceful. The house has a ramp for wheel chair accessibility.

Several miles of trails through open fields and wooded ridges provide riding or hiking adventures. Only a twenty minute ride to The Ark attraction or the Kentucky Horse Park.
