What a spectacular home, overlooking the sea. Huge airy rooms, home was spotless and welcome basket very welcome!! The cottage is walking distance to a sandy beach just over the dunes which our dog absolutely loved. Great little coffee cabin within walking distance too.

I love Ullapool and I've been going there for 35 years. Over that time, we've stayed in lots of different houses and this was one of the best, especially for the two older couples in our party. Perfectly located within the village, just right for accessing the harbour, pubs, restaurants and the small supermarket. There was adequate off-road space for our one car. Inside, the house was clean and characterful. Instructions were detailed and helpful. Kitchen was well supplied, including quite a few spices and other essentials thoughtfully left by previous visitors. Access to the two upstairs bedrooms would be a little tricky for some visitors, but we found the small bathroom up there and the views across the street and beautiful rear garden to be charming. Beds were comfortable. One evening we got a nice warm fire going in the small living room. Otherwise, we enjoyed the nicely equipped dining room, complete with books and brochures about the local area.

Awesome place. Everything in the loft was so nice with a great view. We had a very pleasant stay.

Rowan Cottage is such a lovely peaceful and private place to stay. It has everything you need PLUS a herd of red deer to delight you! We are halfway through travelling around Scotland for 15 weeks and 18 of our 20 pre-booked accommodations are self-catering cottages or apartments. Rowan Cottage stands out so far, along with only a couple of others, as being head and shoulders above the rest. Comfy beds, nice bedlinen, very clean, loads of room in the bathroom for your own stuff, plenty of room even if you had a family, good heating, a good hot shower. It would be lovely in the summer as there is plenty of outdoor seating. And did I mention the red deer??? My husband and I just loved it and would have stayed longer if we could. Lochinver is a lovely village as well. So much to see and do in the area, you won't be bored. I highly recommend Rowan Cottage and its host. Angela was great to communicate with beforehand and it was lovely to meet her at last on our arrival. Thank you Angela!

A lovely and cosy lodge with great amenities such as the hot tub. Gail was fantastic host from start to finish. We will definitely come back.

We had a great stay at Jane’s place. It had everything you needed and it was super clean. Awesome location and great views. We definitely recommend anyone wanting to stay here 👍👍👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely cottage/bungalow set in a glorious position. The property is kitted out with everything except your wellingtons and if they knew your size they would probably have organised those as well! Would highly recommend staying in this property, we did not meet the hosts but there is a book that lists their contact details and details about everything else you could possibly need. Hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

When booking a family reunion I wanted something very special and memorable. This holiday home is set within the most beautiful bay, 2 minutes walk from the beach at Clachtoll. Our Easter week was glorious with sunshine every day. We walked, enjoyed picnics, ate lovely meals out at Delilah’s and the Lochinver Pie shop. A wildlife boat trip out of Lochinver with Skipper Tony is great fun for young and old alike. For any ornithologists a trip to Handa will be joyous…..we were lucky to see puffin!! The layout of the holiday home is excellent with lots of space and importantly there are two bedrooms on the ground floor ideal for elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Thank you, Lisa and Guy for giving us the most wonderful memories of such a special holiday together. Heather
