What an amazing experience this was. The house is not a regular AirBnB rental but an experience, it's like staying in your own private resort, the comfort and services of a hotel but only for your group. We stayed here with a group of friends and Roberto and the staff made sure we had everything we needed and more. For a very reasonable price, we had all of our breakfasts and some of our dinners cooked for us. We even had a bartender who prepared delicious mango margaritas, mojitos and more. The house is an easy 35 minutes drive from Puerto Escondido in a secluded area, we barely saw any other people on the beach but we did see whales, dolphins and even a giant turtle! All the food Reina prepared was delicious. We hired a private yoga class and it was perfect in front of the pool and with the waves crashing as background sound. The architecture of the house is beautiful, with the light and contrasts with the concrete making it perfect for photos. 5 stars!

It was such a pleasure to stay at Ana’s place. It typically can be rented out by the room or the entire place. We had rented out the entire place for 10 people and it was a great experience. The staff was amazing and was able to order breakfast in the morning to eat in the main area, which was super convenient. The rooms were all spacious and clean. The location is well located and walkable to all restaurants and bars. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariela. The pictures on the website do not do the house justice. The house was beautiful and more than spacious enough for our party of 10. It was a two-minute walk to a little grocery store which was super convenient; just down the street from a pharmacy; a five-minute cab ride to a great taqueria; and only 15 minutes to the center of town. Our daughters and my niece had a fabulous time in the beautiful solar heated pool where we spent a lot of our time. The grounds are kept beautifully and create such a relaxing setting that we didn’t want to leave the house to explore Oaxaca. The most wonderful thing of all was the friendly, helpful, warm hospitable staff led by Cristy. The breakfasts at Casa Mariela were possibly the most memorable part of our whole trip and everybody’s favorite part of the day. If you are looking for a home with character and interesting details in the suburbs of the city, this is the perfect choice.

Amazing property and amazing chefs!

Me and my family had such an amazing stay. Private beach and very secluded. The whole place was perfect. Eva and the cooks were extremely helpful as well and they made the most delicious food. Everything was exactly as described plus more.

The setting is absolutely spectacular in person - even better than the images. The house is charming and the walk down the hill to the semi private beach is long but perfectly manageable. The team at the hotel Bahia de la Luna could not have been lovelier. there is also a wonderful outdoor shower that i used every day However, the listing should stress how tricky (steep and rough) the roads are to navigate. i rented a normal sedan car and although it is DOABLE in a regular car, I wished every day that i had a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We also felt that the kitchen could be a little better equipped and the stove/oven were rather temperamental. Given that the position of the house made it hard to go out for dinner at night, it's important to be able to cook. the local market (fish in Puerto Angel or the big municipal market in Pochutla) are wonderful. Last - it would have been good to have some seating on the two bedroom balconies and some extra seating for the dining table

María fue extremadamente amable, ella y su empleada Evelyn estaban en la cosina desde las 8 am hasta las 3:pm que dejaba todo limpio. Primero sirvieron café con pan 🍞, después desayuno 🍳 todo delicioso. El primer día nos prepararon unas enmoladas deliciosas, las mejores de Oaxaca. Eso fue para la comida. También nos preparó te, tenía mezcal, semillas, fruta y quesillo en la mesa para nosotros todo el tiempo. La casa está impecable. Muy limpia. Muuy bonita y grande 🥰 a Lurdes le gusta atender a los huéspedes como amigos, es muy detallista, quiere que todo esté perfecto. Evelyn, muy linda y muy calladita igual que Lola 🐶🥰 Lola es una perrita rescatada por María Lurdes, Lola no da problemas, ni notas que vive ahí. La propiedad es muy segura, tienes que pasar por un guardia antes de pasar a la comunidad. Evelyn nos recomendó servicio de taxi muy responsable, gracias Evelyn. The most magical stay for our family visit to Oaxaca. Found at the end of a private street you are at your oasis. Open and beautiful design. So many thoughtful touches including local art and soaps. Miss Marisol is so attentive and wonderful - such a treat to come back to a clean place each day and the complimentary snacks and water were so fabulous for us - especially our kids. I can’t say enough about this place - will recommend to all our friends! Really a stand out stay!

El lugar es muy bonito, amplio y limpio. Tiene cafetera, horno de microondas y tv. El desayuno de cortesía fue muy rico y completo. La cabaña tiene agua caliente. Lo recomiendo.

Sólo pediría una cortina para la puerta pues entra demasiada iluminación a la habitación... Por lo demás, todo esta muy bien! La zona me encantó, pues esta la naturaleza en todo su esplendor... Karen y su familia son excelentes anfitriones, me sentí como si estuviera con mi familia... Gracias.

El modelo es increíble. Tienes la comodidad de una casa propia pero todas las amenidades de un hotel. Apoyo las 24 horas, desayuno, happy hour y limpieza, albercas a parte de la privada y una playa casi privada. Las imágenes se quedan cortas con el paraíso que en realidad son las vistas y las instalaciones. Las personas que apoyan son muy serviciales. Pudimos ver ballenas desde la comodidad de nuestro cuarto. Hay estacionamiento. Hay restaurantes y tiendas cerca. Lo único que recomiendo es llevar efectivo ya que no hay cajeros cerca ya que es pueblo. Pero en la mayoría de negocios al rededor aceptan tarjeta. Y tomar en cuenta que el servicio de comida al cuarto cierra 7.30, pero ellos te dan la opción de pedir pizzas a domicilio.

Mariel's place is a piece of paradise, very spacious, beautiful, and cool with a wonderful location. very close to the best part of town, but also very quiet and tranquil. She's a very kind and interesting person, and her dogs and cats are quite adorable

I so enjoyed my stay. The location was amazing, just far enough outside the Centro that it was quiet and calm, but close enough that it was an easy walk to all of the best parts of town. Loved the cafes near by and the scenery around the neighborhood. Super grateful for my time here, and to the host for sharing this beautiful and inspiring space.

the beach is beautiful and a very short walk. the area is definitely a work in progress. extreme poverty interspersed with a few beautiful beach homes. very few nearby services - restaurants, stores, etc. The town is a short taxi ride away but there isn't much there. we had a great two day stay, which was perfect. the breakfast was good, everything was in good condition and very clean. host very responsive.

I enjoyed my stay at Soltera! It was clean, comfortable, safe, and in a great location. Megan was super helpful with recommendations, and I liked walking to all the best parts of the city, easily, from the house.

I am very happy with my one night stay wish I could’ve stayed longer, but the staff was so friendly and responsive. The place was so beautiful and peaceful. It was a magical experience.

Casa Frida is the ideal place to stay in Oaxaca. Frida and Yolanda are warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Everywhere you look in the house you’ll find something beautiful. The breakfasts are delicious and new every day. We loved every minute.

Casa cascada was very relaxing, gorgeous view. Lupitas breakfast was delicious every morning & enjoyed visiting with the other guests from around the world. The air in the kitchen, living room, infinity pool was heavenly. We could see the whales from the deck (Bring some binoculars!!) Inexpensive taxis readily available & they all know Casa Cascada. If you don’t speak Spanish, download google translate, it’s very helpful to communicate & read menus. Favorite restaurants-El Nene & Chicama (Peruvian)
