I loved my stay at the Cosmic Love unit. Be warned, however, this is a unique lodging that would mostly appeal to a certain type of traveler. The peaceful space feels like a tree house. The main living space is surrounded by vegetation and enclosed only with screens. You are literally “in the jungle.” You will will hear and see howler monkeys in the trees a few feet away. It will also, however, be warm. Plenty of ceiling fans, but the only part of the unit that is air conditioned is the bedroom. I was comfortable with this; your milage may vary. Pool is great. It's a short walk down a dirt road to a few restaurants and a small bodega. The food at each of these was excellent. In the other direction it's a short walk to the beach. The nearest "town" is Guiones, which is a 10-minute ride in a tuk-tuk. The hosts are a charming and very pleasant couple, and were instantly responsive. Great stay, as long as you aren't looking for luxury and are comfortable with roughing it a bit.

We spent 11 nights with our family. Lee was amazing to deal with and it was a pleasure getting to know her family (they live in the unit above). The place was even nicer in person than the pictures. So clean and well stocked for all your cooking needs. Amazing location…5mins walk to playa pelada beach. We didn’t want to leave this amazing spot…felt at home.

Unbelievable stay! This place is spectacular! Our apartment was so spacious and had everything we needed - well stocked kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well to help with a good night sleep. Vincent and Millie were so nice - excellent hosts. There was daily housekeeping too! Wonderful breakfast that you could purchase if you wanted. The hotel pools were great and the hotel grounds were so well maintained at this intimate boutique-type hotel. Location was perfect - short walk to the beach, which is the most beautiful beach. Really good restaurants so close by and small mini marts for groceries and liquor purchases. Can’t say enough good things about Vincent, Millie, the apartment, the hotel, the beach and the town of Carrillo. Highly recommend and we will definitely return!

Location and access to stores and restaurants and especially the beach. Great recommendations for food and places to park. We loved meeting the people of Samara and felt so welcomed everywhere we went.

What a fantastic place! The flat felt spacious with high ceiling, everything was clean and well presented. The surroundings amazing with the pool area outside, and the wonderful beach only a short walk on the path through the woods. The information provided was very easy to understand, and when we had further questions and needed tips, Claire was quick to reply and was very helpful. We loved our stay, a perfect spot for a family of five. We highly recommend a stay here!

Anyone reading this should stop now and go push the big red “reserve” button. You don’t need a review you need to stay at Deborah’s place. For anyone who doesn’t believe me, read on… We stayed for 6 weeks in May and June 2022. My wife, baby daughter (7 months), and I absolutely fell in love with the property and the area. The place was clean, the kitchen was stocked, the property is 200m from the beach, and the pool is a dream. You are living in the jungle so yes the odd bug will get in, and you will deal with mosquitoes when you are enjoying the deck or the pool, but it’s no big deal - buy a mosquito coil from the Super Chino in Samara and forget about the little bugs. You are in Costa Rica at a beautiful condo steps from the beach with a private pool. Don’t skip this place… We looked all over Samara and during our stay we had the opportunity to visit other AirBnBs our friends were staying in… Deborah’s was better than all of them… not our words, just feedback our friends would tell us after hanging at our rental. The good: Pool, kitchen, outdoor space, location, Deborah and her partner Peter who made our trip perfect, the nature all around, the windows, the AC, did I say the pool? And so much more…. The bad: Road out front is noisy, especially in the morning (ear plugs or airpods fix this): The bed is quite firm - i liked it, my wife prefers softer mattresses. Bugs will get in (Raid - which is available in the suite in the cleaning cupboard - along the windows and doors fixes this) I will 100% be back, and I really hope that after reading this review you don’t book the same days I am hoping to book… On 2nd thought, don’t book this place because I want it all for myself ;)

Randall was a wonderful host! He communicated from the moment we booked until checkout. He was very attentive. The rental was better than we expected. The pool was private and it felt enjoyable to be in nature. We traveled with our almost one year old. The apartment was pretty “baby proof”—open spaces for playing, the host provided a pack n play and play mat. Having the pool right next to the building made it nice for us to enjoy it while the baby napped. Randall provided a flexible check in to help with nap time as well. The additional outdoor showers were great for when you got back from the beach. Sometimes we walked to the beach, sometimes we drove. We also walked to two nearby restaurants that had much nicer food and better prices than in Sámara. Puerto Carrillo felt lovely in comparison to the nearby tourist center of Samara. We highly recommend this rental and the hosts!

The location was perfect for us - brother and SIL just down the street and walkable to great restaurants and the water! Beautiful surroundings and the pool was absolutely PERFECT. Loved our stay! Very responsive host - helpful at check in and flexible!

This place is outstanding! Located just at the beach surrounded by all kind of plants, trees and palms. There is a very nice and modern yoga deck for guests with all equipment you need. I was actualy enjoying it every day. The place is very clean and fresh. You have everything you need in the kitchen. However the best of all is when you take your one minute walk form your door to the beach. The view is beautifull! Host is very helpfull and when I had any questions how to move around in the town I got always help. Doesn't matter if you are alone or with your kids this place is a perfect choice. Definatelly place I will visit again.

Vehiel was a great host. He was friendly and responsive. The place was very quiet and peaceful, down a short dirt road off the main road. In the morning, howler monkeys were howling from the hills. The beaches are a short drive away, and there is a grocery store right down the road. The kitchen met our needs, and the beds were very comfortable. Vehiel provided tour information and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return next year!

This Airbnb was one of the best, that we experienced during our time in Costa Rica! The flat is decorated very tastefully/bohemian vibes, with everything you need. We especially appreciated the two sets of towels, smoothie maker, Water filter, USB charging station, and very comfy large Bed. The A/C works well, there is a nice private terrace and thanks to the window-nets we had no problem with mosquitos. Highly recommend!:-)

We had a great stay at Esperanza’s place. The space was very modern, with a nice deck area and very comfortable beds. We initially had some trouble with the gate to the parking area but Esperanza was responsive and sent someone to help us get in. We had a busy couple days so I wish we got to enjoy a few more days here and spend time at the pool/deck but we were only in Nosara for a few days. Would definitely return!

The absolute best place to stay in Nosara. Josh’s place felt like home as soon as we walked in. Super clean, great layout and had everything we needed for our stay. But I think the best part about staying at Josh’s place are David and Mario and the whole property management team. David and Mario had recommendations and helped make arrangements for transportation before we arrived so it was super smooth and relaxing experience as soon as we left the airport. They followed up with anything we needed and were super responsive. I have to give a shout out to Mario though. We had a hiccup with one of the businesses in Nosara that we weren’t able to resolve before we went home. Mario sorted it all out and continued to follow-up even after we left. This is top notch customer service that you won’t get even at the fanciest hotels. I 1000% recommend staying at Josh’s place. We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you David and Mario!!

Great place to stay, absolutely love the apartment, very clean and upscale, the owner is very nice. He gave us detailled instructions to take care of his beautiful plants at home, which was very easy to do. I highly recommend renting from him. You’ll love the place. The coworking spaces are gorgeous and the pool is absolutely stunning. The community that lives there is very warm and welcoming and we made tons of friends staying there. Highly recommend.

Casita ordenada y limpia, bien ubicada y suficientemente equipada. Llegamos en la noche y nos costó un poquito encontrarla, así que le recomendamos llegar antes del atardecer para que sea un poco más fácil. Óscar fue rápido y eficiente en la comunicación. Todo muy bien.

Logan’s place was an absolute paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The pool is amazing and a lot of fun! The garden is beautiful and brings so many different kinds of nature to watch. We saw something different everyday. His staff is very helpful and friendly. It was the best place to celebrate our 25th anniversary! Thank you!

Un apartamento super amplio y cómodo, impecable, con una ubicación muy conveniente. La pasamos muy bien, y el host esta pendiente a cualquier pregunta que uno tenga. ¡Se los recomiendo a todos!

Excelente lugar para hospedarse en Nosara. Apartamento muy cómodo, limpio y con todo lo necesario para vacacionar y trabajar. Utilizamos el cowork una tarde y fue una excelente experiencia. La comunicación con Georges fue muy fluida y siempre estuvo atento. Recomiendo al 100% hospedarse acá.

Clean basic rooms. Good A/C. One HBO channel in English. Sports Channel. Bus stop to Samara a few yards down the street. Basic mini kitchenette to cook what ever you want and full size fridge. They say no hot water but found showering later in the day you had hot water from heat on the water pipes. Felt like family with the great hosts of Nataly and her family and pups. Would definitely stay here again. Very good value for the money paid.
