Beautiful beautiful home!! Perfect for my two teenage sons and I. We are from Honolulu and have visited Volcano several times - this was my favorite place. The house itself is an old plantation style home and clearly has elements of that old home, but has also been fitted with very modern things like a gas fireplace and Apple TV. The fireplace was perfect for spending a late evening playing boardgames. Five minute drive to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where we spent most of our days and evenings - we were fortunate to be there as Episode 15 was starting and particularly seeing Kilauea start to bubble and come alive at night was nothing short of amazing. The home is in walkable distance from several quaint restaurants including Kilauea Lodge and Lava Rock Cafe. I would stay here again in a heartbeat the next time I'm in Volcano.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage! After some initial difficulty with opening the lock, our host was extremely responsive and helpful with getting us in. I booked this overnight stay based on the excellent reviews and close proximity to Volcano National Park and we were so happy we chose to stay here! It is so quaint and has everything you could need and more! We would definitely book again on our next trip if it is available! Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. Playing outdoor games on the grass, sitting in the hottub, and lounging in the lanai were such delights. The house had everything a big family group might need for a week's stay in Hawaii, incliding a large bin full of high quality snorkel gear. And Paul was very accommodating of any additional requests we might have. The house, yard, and beighborhood are quite gorgeous - maybe even better than the photos suggested. And the sunsets over the ocean most nights were spectacular. We loved our time at this Kona Airbnb and greatly look forward to the next time we can stay there.

We had the dream family trip of a lifetime. The kids loved the pool—morning, noon and evening except when we went off on adventures. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of a rocky beach. The house was roomy and well stocked with two large, long dining tables, one indoors and the other on an enclosed porch outdoors. Perfect for family dining. Joe and Anna were lovely hosts, pleasant and informative. We’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

We had three day visit to Volcanoes National Park and we really enjoyed our stay. Paku was a great host he provided local knowledge and suggestions. The house had everything we needed, and Paku was very accommodating. Also, We got lucky and were able to see the eruption of Kilauea, which was great. After hiking and spending all day at the park, the hot tub and outdoor shower were awesome. We felt right at home and we enjoyed, Patchy, Paku’s super friendly cat who lives on the property. Thanks again for a great stay, hopefully we get a chance to visit again.

Wonderful place for our several days there. Fantastic view and very spacious. Several restaurants were in town. Waimea had few tourists but still was close to several small out-of-the-way towns we otherwise would not have thought of to visit.

This is such a beautiful house - my friends and I had a lovely time! The house itself is in a very private spot and felt very secure. Very clean and modern furniture; looks like it was recently built. The interior is just lovely! It was peaceful and relaxing, and exactly the weekend getaway we needed. There are a few eating places nearby. And it's a 5 minute drive to the volcanoes national park. Kent was responsive and proactive; check-in and check-out were easy. I wasn't asked to clean the house and wash the sheets. I would definitely stay here again.

This was such a wonderful place to disconnect from the busy world. The freshly grown tangerines were delicious. The kitchen was great, the overall vibe of the house was very relaxing. When we walked in we started to immediately relax. Sally was very responsive. Definitely a unique and relaxing experience
