The Retreat

Formerly known as the "shifting house" it was first built in 1898-1899 to accommodate munitions workers changing into the special clothing that they wore when working on magazines. The cottage provides an ideal escape from everyday life and has direct access to the water.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot located within the New Forest, close to Lymington town. We have 2 huts sat in a two and a half acre private site with river frontage conveniently located behind a fantastic restaurant/pub. Check in is from 3pm tomorrow! Family cottage near beautiful cove

Our three bedroom, three bathroom stone cottage was extensively renovated and maintained to a high specification. It is nestled in a sheltered spot on a quiet road a short walk from Steephill Cove. It comfortably sleeps six (and maybe a couple of extra children!). Please note that during school summer holidays we are only able to operate check in/out on Saturday.
