Arthur's Pass Ecolodge - unique off grid living

Only 10mins south of Arthur's Pass Village, on SH73, the Ecolodge overlooks the expansive Waimakariri River and mountains of the National Park. Experience "off grid" living at its best on a small environmental footprint. To stay costs $175 per night for bed and homemade breakfast (for 2 people). You have the option to book up to 4 people in your group, as I have two Queen rooms available. I'm more than happy to share a 2-course meal + wine/beer for $35 pp and spend time sharing stories.

Since the 1920s the Poolburn Hotel has been the meeting place of the Ida Valley. Nestled in the remote highlands of Central Otago, between Dunedin and the Lakes District, the valley is home to a close-knit farming community. Part of a lodge nestled lakeside in nature with fantastic views. Our stunning area has many activities to offer including various hikes, jet boat trips, scenic flights, kayaking, horse treks and more. To relax there's a TV room, book exchange and hot tub, especially good for stargazing! If you don't feel like cooking up a feast take a break and dine in our cozy restaurant, we have something for everyone. Please note that we're a 5hr drive from Milford Sound.

Hoatu Lodge rests quietly in the heart of lush Aotearoa bush. Our two dorms of bunk beds and two double guest rooms, are perfect for groups of friends, whanau, or retreats. A large commercial kitchen, open & spacious lounge area, fireplace, deck, and covered courtyard make up this space that's full of surprises. Walk along the awa, enjoy a bonfire at the firepit, walk up to the prayer hut for some peace or see local glowworms light up the bush.
