Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Four Fillies Lodge is a nearly 100 acre private estate available for you to explore & enjoy. Our Kilimanjaro Safari Treehouse is a top of the line romantic cabin with modern amenities and huge windows for optimal views of the creek. Includes 1 King bed, 1 full bathroom, and a kitchenette. Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) Spend the evening enjoying a campfire or relax on the porch swing.

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country cabin situated on our six-and-a-half acre partial homestead on a quiet lane. Meet our mini donkeys Hokie and Pokie, mini pigs, and other animal friends. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens and seasonal vegetables as available! This getaway is a perfect home base for Virginia Tech games and events, nearby vineyards, breweries, the Appalachian Trail, and the New River. Mountain and horse-ranch views.
