We had a great stay, really enjoyed the pool and the house, and even had a nice barbecue one evening. The communication was great, especially with the local person in charge (thanks, Neme!) and the location really suited us. Great sunsets, nice stay overall.

Nuestra experiencia en el Cortijo ha sido increíble! El sitio es precioso y a menos de 1 minuto en coche del núcleo urbano de Orcera! Está situado en la Sierra de Segura y es genial como centro para hacer excursiones a los diferentes pueblos y sitios de la zona. En el Cortijo y las viviendas tienen de todo y me gustaría sobretodo resaltar la hospitalidad y el inmejorable trato de Ramón y su mujer María Antonia. Estuvieron pendientes de todo desde el principio y son suuper amables y cercanos. Recomiendo 100% el Cortijo la Julia y mas aun a los anfitriones!!

Everything was just so easy and relaxing. Great instructions amazing place. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. About 30 minute walk along the coastal path to the port. It is a beautiful walk and just the right distance to walk off some of the amazing local food and drink

We have just enjoyed an amazing 2 weeks in Chris’s villa and we’re very sad to be leaving. The outside space is huge, we loved the outdoor kitchen and all the different seating areas. The hammock was a big hit for reading & chilling. The pool was a great size and beautiful at night with the lights on. Indoor space is versatile, comfortable and homely. There were great sunsets in the evening and the roof terrace was the perfect place to sit with a coffee and watch the sunrise. Chris was an extremely attentive host, who always responded immediately and had some excellent restaurant recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble and we appreciated his kindness. Wim who is nearby during your stay was also very kind and helpful. The area was very peaceful with lots of amenities within walking distance. All the essentials were there to get you started and the welcome cold bottle of Cava was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend the villa and look forward to staying again ourselves!

Huset var stort og flott, og uteområdene var helt fantastiske. Utsikt rett ned på stranden og med flere sittegrupper og ly for solen. Sol fra soloppgang til godt utpå kvelden. Stort og flott basseng. Kjekt for både for små og store. Kjempevarmt i juli, men med god aircondition på soverom og fellesarealer. Det som var bedre enn huset var verten. Paloma var behjelpelig både i forkant og under oppholdet. Hun ga oss den informasjonen vi trengte og forsikret seg om at vi hadde et fint opphold. Det eneste som trekker litt ned er at Isla Plana er litt langt unna de fleste ting. Det gikk fint for oss å spasere til butikken 1km unna, men anbefaler å ha bil. Dette var en vurdering som vi burde valg annerledes på, ikke vertens feil. Anbefales varmt!

Maria Alicia Est vraiment adorable. Elle nous a accueillie avec beaucoup d’attention. La maison est tellement agréable les lits sont propres confortable ainsi que toute la maison. Je recommande vivement la maison pour des vacances paisibles.

Wow. Only 1 word is needed to describe everything about our stay. If you are looking for a trip away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life where you can truly relax then this is it. The villa is stunning, high up, almost touching the clouds with the most peaceful views over the mountains. It has everything you need, a great pool, plenty of places around the villa to escape and unwind, comfy beds and linens and all the cooking facilities you could ever need. Our host was terrific, really helping us settle into the villa and responding to our questions ahead of our trip quickly. I fully expect we will look to book here again which should tell you everything. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Easily the first thing you notice is the beautiful pool area with the pink Flowers on the house. The views from the front and back of this property are outstanding. The property itself was exactly as described and we had a great week. Sue, who did checkin was very responsive and set everything up perfectly for us. We were 3 couples with loads of kids and the property really worked for us. 2 fridge freezers was great for shopping etc. Walking distance to a great beach, 10 mins drive to an interesting and lively port, a god restaurant down the road and 10 mins from supermarkets meant we had a hassle free stay. The place came with a load of stuff we could use when cooking and cleaning too (spices, oils etc) which is rare and saves on having to buy stuff you might not need more than once. Small detail but important! Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic place to spend your vacation. The house looks much better in real life than it does in the pictures. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. It's a perfect spot for those who want a holiday in a quiet area of Spain. There is a large and beautiful pool with a lovely barbecue area next to it. As long as you have a car, everything you might need is just a short drive away.

Ce lieu, véritable chef-d’œuvre architectural, transcende l’idée même du confort et de l’élégance. Chaque détail, chaque coin de cette demeure a été méticuleusement pensé, faisant de ce cadre idyllique un havre de paix hors du temps. L’accueil de Damian, d’une courtoisie sans égale, va bien au-delà de ce que l’on pourrait espérer. Il incarne la quintessence de l’hospitalité raffinée, alliant chaleur humaine et professionnalisme. Le cadre, enveloppé par la nature, incite à la contemplation, à la détente absolue, loin de l’agitation du monde. La tranquillité qui règne en ce lieu est une véritable symphonie pour l’âme, un refuge où l’esprit trouve sa sérénité. Séjourner ici n’est pas seulement une expérience, c’est une immersion dans un univers de luxe discret et de beauté intemporelle. Je ne peux que recommander ce lieu à ceux qui cherchent l’excellence.

Fui con toda mi familia. Cuatro adultos y 3 niños. La casa es inmensa y totalmente impoluta. Cada habitación tiene un baño, la piscina es súper cuca, afuera hicimos vida básicamente. Se aprecia mucho el aire acondicionado también. Como ÚNICA queja voy a decir que el salón no es muy habitable. Pero es que en realidad estábamos todo el rato afuera. Luigi es majísimo y super eficiente. Ojalá podamos volver otro año, porque sin duda nos gustaría repetir.

Estuvimos 4 días en agosto 2021 con nuestros hijos de 11 y 12 años. La casa está muy bien, es muy nueva y estaba todo según la descripción y las fotos que vinos en airbnb. A pesar de que fueron días de calor, en la casa estuvimos a gusto gracias al aire acondicionado. Además la casa tiene varias terrazas para poder estar, nosotros desayunamos, comimos y cenábamos en la del primer piso, que tiene una sombrilla para el sol. Desde las terrazas hay vistas sobre el mar y Mazarrón, muy bonito el anochecer por ejemplo. La piscina comunitaria está en un recinto específico al que se accede desde la calle, cerca de la casa. Cuando estuvimos nosotros estaba muy poco concurrida, estuvimos en la misma unas cuantas veces dándonos un baño después de venir de la playa. El pueblo es tranquilo, con varios bares, restaurantes, heladería muy buena, un supermercado pequeño pero que tienen de casi todo y a buen precio, la panadería está al lado de la urbanización. Estuvimos muy a gusto en Isla Plana, repetiríamos sin duda.

We loved our time at Ben and Giles' villa. So much so we booked to return next year. Being of limited mobility there are only a few steps outside and a good choice of chairs of a good height. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need for cooking a meal. The beds were very comfortable . Please note that you would need a car. I cannot praise the villa or Rob and Ann Marie highly enough.

Words cannot express how wonderful this particular booking was. Our trip had challenges of its own, but that aside, John's place is AMAZING. It is exactly as described, and then better. It is literally a slice of heaven in rural Spain. It is home-from-home with modern fixtures and fittings and everything and anything that you could possibly need from a home, and then more. Since placing the booking with Airbnb, John has been on hand to answer all my irritating and incessant questions....closer to the time of our trip, the information was free-flowing and easy to follow and everything was exactly as described. The house and garden are absolutely beautiful. If you want peace and quiet and countryside walks this is the place to come. I honestly didn't want to come home. In fact, I didn't want to leave a nice review, because I don't really want anyone else to go - I want it to be available for just me! The house and host get 10/10 What else can I say? Thank you John, for everything!
