Lora was a responsive and proactive host for my family. She even sorted out a chef for us for our stay. Her place was exactly as described and lovely for a family getaway not too far from the city. We also managed to catch some zebras and antelopes right from the house which was great especially for the kids. Would highly recommend.

A lovely house in a beautiful location, surrounded by amazing scenery and wildlife. We even saw a leopard whilst enjoying breakfast outside! Good staff, who were very hospitable and eager to help when necessary. We’d love to come back.

We spent a really pleasant weekend at the Cliffhanger! It’s in the most wonderful location! Very peaceful and the bird song is lovely! Had everything we needed for a couple of nights! Beds are super comfy! Plenty of hot water! Full cooker-oven/ microwave if you want to cook in. We had some rain but cosied down in the evening with a Netflix movie and a Shuka! We were lucky enough to have a dry evening where we could sit around the campfire! Loads to do in the area. We explored Crater Lake where we saw an abundance of Colobus monkeys with their babies. Stunning views of the lake from the viewpoint! We had a good lunch at the Ranch House Bistro which would recommend as it’s so atmospheric. All in all a very relaxing Easter weekend! Would highly recommend!

Moses and Laura were excellent hosts and they and their staff were all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We had the most memorable experience . Highly recommend to anyone who is doubting whether to book. The BBQ evening was a highlight , delicious food and fascinating dancing and singing from the Masai tribe. We loved every moment of it , as did our 3 year old and we were lucky enough to see lions, cheetah , a python, elephants and giraffes and Debra’s amongst others on our game drives , - Mike was an expert in tracking down the animals and sharing amazing stories. We also got engaged on the viewing platform in Moses garden !! Don’t miss out . The cabin has everything g you need and a beautiful garden to chill out in

Beautiful location, right by the lake, lovely cottage - just what we needed! On of the best things was the astonishing bird life. I loved watching the birds having their conferences and arguments on the lawn and in the trees. Watching an African Fish Eagle on the lake was a highlight.

We booked this spot last minute & Ann was very welcoming & responsive. The cottage was so spacious & clean. There was 10 of us on this trip so space was necessary. Each room had its own bathroom & there was hot water for showers & towels available. The grounds are beautiful which made our short stay magical. The staff were so friendly & welcoming. We had dinner at one of the restaurants which was buffet style & everyone was pleased with their meals. Overall an enjoyable stay, we were sad to leave but we’ll be back again for sure. Thanks Ann & Staff at GRVL!!

The house from Esmond was very nice and clean. It was very big and had more than enough beds for 10 people. The communication with Esmond was very easy and fast. The house girls were also very nice and friendly. Even though the house is located a bit outside from the town I can really recommend the house. We really enjoyed!

We loved our time at this house. The house is simple, but well-setup and designed. This is one of the few houses that seems to have screens on the windows so that you can leave the windows open to enjoy the breeze and not have to battle mosquitoes! We loved that you could walk down the driveway a couple hundred meters and be right at the lake and watch hippos and birds. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
