Therefore it is very convenient to go sightseeing in Osaka, Kyoto and the World Heritage sites in Nara from my house. The limousine bus between Nara Station and KIX is also very convenient.

西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Our house is just steps away from the train station. Once you arrive at Nara, leave your luggage in my house. Then, walk through the Sanjo street to go to the Deer Park and Naramachi old town area. (We can keep your luggage from 11:00 am.) The entire of this two-story house(3 LDK-98m2) is your space. It is ideal for two or three generations of families or group of intimate friends up to 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can even ensure privacy among close friends.

The surroundings are full of nature, and if you are lucky, you can see animals such as wild deer, boars and squirrels. In addition to burning charcoal in the fireplace and enjoying the burning fire, you can enjoy the following as fireplace dishes. (We prepare 1 box of charcoal. Please prepare your food.) ・Hot pot dishes using an iron pot ・Grilled fish using long bamboo skewers ・Roasted sweet potato ・Grilled meat dishes using iron pan ・Grilled rice balls using a net.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

Located in a prime location in the middle of a shopping district, it is very convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing such as Kofukuji Temple, where you can see wild deer. There are four bedrooms surrounding a spacious central living room. After enjoying meals and chatting together in the living room, you can sleep peacefully in one of the four bedrooms. Our guesthouse is located in the old town called Nara-machi. There used to be many traditional wooden townhouses known as Machiya. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
