Central to the areas activities, the days can seem short with easy access to Fontana Lake, the Appalachian Trail, Tsali Recreation Area, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Nantahala Gorge, & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You've found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in this comfortable, stylish mountain lake house! The house sits on 4 acres with a private dock on Rainbow Lake. Whether you want to relax by the stone fireplace in the vaulted wood ceilings of the great room, cozy up with a good book in the hip and funky loft area, or enjoy the fresh mountain air in the large screened-in porch, this house has it all. There's a remote work station with 2 monitors, universal docking station and printer.

This is a four season vacation spot. Create your own memories in the western North Carolina mountains by Lake Chatuge! Enjoy great hiking, boating, fishing, and much more! Take advantage of the hiking and biking on the Jack Rabbit Mountain trails along the shores by Lake Chatuge. Winter discounts available from January 1 until March 31. OPTIONAL MINI COTTAGE (for a third bedroom that sleeps 2) with Queen sized bed and TV but no extra bathroom for an extra $25 per night plus $25 cleaning.

Mateo 39A at Nantahala Weddings - pets allowed

Pets allowed. $75 pet fee per pet. $150 penalty if you fail to indicate number of pets via "Guests" drop-down menu when you book. The Mateos are 4 small bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible.

A small branch and Peeks Creek border the property and feed into the river. It's perfect for tubing and trout fishing, and if the water is up a bit, it's perfect for kayaking. The stairs from the bank to the river make for safe and easy access. The house is located way off the main drag with equal distance to Franklin and Highlands.
