Great hotel in a wonderful place.

This listing is for a room in Hotel Las Colinas. It’s on the outskirts of the town of Sabana de la Mar, about a 30-40 minute walk to the ferry and what might qualify as a town ‘center’. We really enjoyed our stay. Given its surroundings, the hotel is decent, if basic. Rooms are in good condition, the bed is comfy, there’s AC and a fan, staff are friendly, and it’s a good shower. Fine for the price. Keep in mind there’s no breakfast served though, you have to sort yourself out. The best reason to stay here is to take advantage of Los Haitises. In this regard, Kate and Misael can hook you up with many different great opportunities to explore the park. We were in touch with Kate, who was extremely friendly and communicative. Through her, we arranged a superb kayak and hiking day excursion with experienced local guide Jackson, and we loved it. A much better experience than being crammed in an enormous boatload of tourists. Through him, we also ate often at a good local restaurant, El Caney. Don’t expect luxurious surroundings staying here. Sabana is an impoverished fishing village. If you don’t have a car, be ready to do a lot of mototaxi trips to get around, quite an experience if you’ve not done it before. If you’re ready for a great adventure though, this is a good choice. Thanks to Kate, Jackson, and our excellent mototaxi driver Fernando we were well taken care of and really enjoyed our time in Sabana.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Da mein Mann sich verletzt hat haben wir sogar verlängert. Die Chefin war unglaublich toll ! Sie hat uns extrem unterstützt, wir bekamen Eiswürfel zum Kühlen, sie hat uns eine Creme für die Verletzung geschenkt und eingeschmiert. Immer wieder nachgefragt und sogar eine Krücke von einem Bekannten organisiert der sie uns geschenkt hat. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Auf den Liegen der Dachterrasse kann man sich gut erholen und im Pool abkühlen. Das Frühstück (inklusive) und Abendessen a la Carte auf der Dachterrasse waren großartig. Es spielt auch typische Bachata Musik. Ein großartiges Erlebnis hier gewesen zu sein. Wir können es sehr empfehlen!

This place is stunning! I 100% recommend staying at this eco-logde. The accommodations are wonderful, the check in was a breeze and the views are breathtaking. The natural pools are beautiful, well maintained and great to swim in. Getting to the hotel was a bit challenging to find as the location on the Air bnb site was not correct. You have to keep driving past that spot on a bumpy road. Not to terrible, just have to drive a bit slower than usual. The journey is well worth it! I hope to come back again with family and friends.

todo sin problemas. realmente son unos intermediarios de un hotel llamado Las Colinas el cuál si lo pagas directamente te saldrá a mitad de precio pero sin el anuncio no lo hubiera conocido así que es válido. La aceptación de la reserva fue pasada la hora de check in lo que me pareció super mal, pero por suerte tampoco necesitaba entrar temprano.

das Einzige, was wir bereuen ist, dass wir nur eine Übernachtung gebucht haben. die Bilder werden der Unterkunft nicht gerecht! wir waren überwältigt von der Anlage. die Pools waren schön und passend in die Umgebung eingebunden. das Zimmer war sehr gross, sauber und super schön. Die Unterkunft ist sehr abgelegen, kein Lärm der Stadt, sondern nur das stetige Rauschen des Bachs und des tropischen Regens. Zum Essen gab es jeweils ein Buffet, welches sehr ausgewogen und lecker ist. es werden diverse Touren im Los Haitises park angeboten. wir nutzten die Gelegenheit und machten die 4h Kayak tour und eine Birdwatching tour mit José. die Unterkunft und das Tourenangebot kann ich herzlich weiterempfehlen.
